You can just do it under spring tension, or make a tool and keep it in your cleaning kit. I have a bunch of little copper tools that I made from heavy jewelry wire out of the wife's hobby stuff, I sized them just right for my 3.4" and 4" guns. They take about 5 seconds each to make, with no tool other than the guide-rod out of the RIA recoil assembly as both a measuring device and something to bend the wire with.Why couldnt Ria make a better take down design though ?
You have to use a paperclip to take down the Gun
The design is simple and reliable, and keeps manufacturing costs down. (savings passed down to you and I, the consumers)
