Consider your civic duty...

A lack of attending to the activism threads is not representative of a lack of action on the legal front. I see a great deal of the activism on this forum taking place right here in "general".

I deliberately ignore/avoid Glock threads but that doesn't mean I'm not actively supporting misguided plasti-blaster owners.

Same here.....I consider general kind of like "breaking news" regarding 2A issues...

Please. Just because I don't look at a particular forum on a website that I would guess the majority of gun owners have never heard of, doesn't mean I'm not well aware of what's going on.

The Activism forum is kinda like a heart beat. Sometimes it loud, sometimes it's soft. But it's always working. Just a thought.

You know, it's pretty brazen for a member of over 2 years who only has 3 posts in Activism, all from today, one of which only said, "Hi Colorado, and welcome to NJ!" to call out the entire forum for lack of participation.

What Apache said...It seems that the most up to date info is being posted right here in the "General" thread, and from what I've seen here over the last few weeks there is no lack of concern or of action from the members of THR.

I hope your letters to your congress-persons are more articulate..

I thought our Representatives had our backs on this one......

I used the NRA site and Ruger site to spam my reps this past week and sent a hand-written letter to each of my senators.
When you vote in AK, you get these goofy little "I voted" stickers. One of mine was in English, the other was in Inupiaq. I affixed a sticker to each letter.
I don't check Activism that often, but I know what I need to do and I'm doing it.

I am confused. What is it we should be doing that we are not?

Some people just want to enjoy having firearms and shooting. Activism often involves stress, worry, angst and work. Who wants that? It is easier to throw some money at the NRA, vote, maybe hit a poll, and try not to turn a nice pastime into a new worry. Can't I just come to this site to read about something I like and sometimes share something I know?

I'm getting to the point where I barely watch the news anymore. Is that irresponsible of me? Probably, but I'm a happier person because of it.

Everybody has a threshold where they say, "Enough, I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!" But everybody is different. If you're pissed go march on Washington or City Hall, write letters, raise money, hire a lobbyist. But don't look down at others who aren't as mad as you. You want action, then take action don't demand others do it too.

Telling others to go be an activist is not the same as becoming one yourself. Tell us what you do, then, some may follow your lead.

In other words, OWNED!

One can post all they want in a thread but it means nothing unless its followed up with some form of action. What we face today is nothing short than a full blown ATTACK on the Bill of Rights. People should be down right ticked off about what is going on. We should be using our time,money and influence to derail this attack. If our reps do not support us its time for new representation. Run yourself or put together a search committee to find someone who will. Make it a very public search as that is a way to apply pressure to oned current rep. Wrsp the opposition into the Cult of Bloomberg and Its how they do things in New York City and thats how it shohld be done in your citys and state.

NRA member here and I've written my state and federal reps many times. I'm sure I'm not alone in this regard...
