Anyhow, CNN did plainly misreport on this one. It was just as likely out of stupidity as it was out of intentionally misrepresenting anything, but still, they didn't report the truth.
Just calling the weapon a shotgun that anyone who can pass a background check can buy almost anywhere isn't sensational enough, so it has to be altered and made to be more menacing.
But it is a bunch of BS.
FWIW, one of my arguments against an AW or magazine capacity ban the last time I argued with an indoctrinated supporter of the current administration was that this would happen again even if all semi-autos were confiscated. He muttered at me in disbelief as I described how dangerous a shotgun firing buck shot could be in a confined area, then suggested banning buckshot.
Because something that's been around since forever and that anyone with a round ball mould can make over a campfire... you can ban that, right?
And now, here we are with a tragic example of what an active shooter can do with one.
When will they learn that it's not the gun, but the person who wields it?
