I bought a DPMS .204 upper almost 2 years ago and had to send it back because of accuracy (or lack of). I've had the replacement for over a year and shot it for the 1st time yesterday. Just loaded some up with RL15 and sat down at the bench. Very few shots to get it sighted in and after it was close I shot this target. I might try a little more powder but I think this little AR is gonna be a shooter!

Nice looking AR.

Did something change after the first shot? Cold squeaky clean bore? Wind change?

Yep, looks like it wants to shoot. :)

I think it was me. These were only rounds 10-15 or so. I'll have to shoot it a few times to get used to it before it goes p-dog hunting. I think I'll back off of the powder some and see if it still groups. It was cold but not too much wind for a change. 10-15 mph

Well I got to go to the p-dog town Sunday afternoon and yep, It's a shooter! I only took 40 rounds with me and all but two were hits. I was really suprised how well it shoots. I have a few loaded with IMR8208 to try out. I hope they group good because I have plenty of it.

How in the Sam Hill did you find such a calm day? Or don't you live in Kansas any more? :D
Yea I know what you mean Jesse. Today was nice though and I have to say, the .204 really impresses me. I took the AR 204 and the bolt 204 to the p-dog town today. 4.5 hours of driving around shooting. Those 32gr v-max bullets will reach out there and touch em! I was amazed how flat they shoot. Might have to build another upper.:)

Try the Varmint Grenade bullets.....FANTASTIC destruction ....if they will stabilize in your gun.

I'll have to use the z-max first. I have a bunch on the way. I did put a 5x20x44 Nikon Monarch on it yesterday and waited all day for the wind to go down some. It did but it was almost dark. I got to shoot it 10 or so shots and it dialed in really nice. Darn Ks winds!
