OK, Tell the Truth! Do You Carry a .32 Revolver for CCW ?

We have seen many who carry .32 ACP Semi's, like Colt 1903, Seecamp, Kel-Tec, etc., but do any of you carry a .32 revolver ?

Tell the truth, please.:)
 
I have a 3" 32 H&R. I haven't carried it before, but I would feel armed well enough for SD. My 38 snub happens to be hammerless, and the 32 has a hammer. That's the main reason I carry the 38 instead. Otherwise I might sometimes go with the 32 for six shots instead of five. I am iffy on 32acp, but 32 H&R is considerably more potent.
 
I never got into the .32 but would.

The .327 has a following for sure.

Wish someone would make a HD revolver in .327 (or .32Mag if pressures were an issue) with 8 or more rounds in it and rails on top/bottom. I would get the .357 8 shot that Smith makes now but it has the lock which I can't stand.
 
Not for CCW, but I have a nice 1920 vintage S&W nickel plated hand ejector in 32 S&W long that I sometimes open carry at social events. The five inch barrel is a little to long for CCW.
 
I used to carry a little Colt Pocket Positive in 32 Long once in a while, when I really didn't want to carry a gun. It was more of a grins and giggles thing than a serious carry gun though.

That gun was about 100 years old. I'm pretty sure someone carried it seriously somewhere along the way.
 
For those times I need something VERY small for carry I go to a Kel-Tec P-32. It's loaded with Fiocchi 60gr ammo which is very hot stuff...
 
Yes, there are 3 in my collection, 2 in rotation. The two in rotation are an RG snub (family heirloom) and a S&W 30-1 3". I'm quick and very accurate with them both. The smith is more accurate but the RG is not bad at all. RG is a 2 inch group at 10 yards and the smith is 1". Rapid fire the groups open up to 5 and 6 inches. Still easily on the chest of any 2 legged attacker, and still on the head or neck of any charging critter. It has dropped a coyote in its tracks once from the deer stand.
 
S&W 431pd which is 32 H&R magnum in a Lobo cross draw.

OOOps, forgot all about my KelTec P32 in a pocket holster. And sometimes my 30-1 snub in 32 S&W Long.

There are so many variants of 32s. What did you have in mind? I have a Ruger SP101 in 327 Federal Magnum I (belt) carry in rotation...full up, 100gr ammo. My 5 1/2" Ruger Single Seven should be in this week...something I could carry crossdraw.
 
I own a 32 S&W Long hand ejector, but do not carry it for several reasons.

If Ruger came out with an LCR or re-released the SP101 (2" barrel and DAO with no hammer spur) chambered in 327 mag I'd probably jump on it. It would be a pocket, and vehicle gun.

My granddaddy carried the same (exact type) gun many years ago, when he felt threatened by the New Orleans Mafia.

When I inherited it, I was proud to be the new owner, but silently chuckled when I saw the minute caliber. He had taken me hunting, and introduced me to firearms. I knew he would have carried a shotgun, if he could, but he wasn't used to revolvers.

I plan to try to keep that little gun in the family, when I go.:) ><>

I often carry the same gun and load, but feel under gunned when I do.
Better to have a Kel-Tek P32, than nothing. I also carry the optional 10 rd. extra mag, giving more rds. and better control grip.

BTW, the thread was aimed at revolvers, not semi's, as stated in posting # 1.
No harm done. Just putting it into prospective.

.32-20 Revolvers

I own (but do not carry) a Colt New Army .32-20. It has a 6" barrel, and is a big gun.

There is no problem (in my mind) with the .32-20 being a good self-defense round.
I don't really consider it a .32 cal. (it's actually a .30 cal.), but has "32" in the name.
It's really a rifle ammo round that's also chambered (or was) in accompanying revolvers.

I wish they'd ("Who is they?") chamber modern revolvers in .32-20. It is potent!:D

P.S. : I also like .32 H&R Magnum and .327 Fed. Magunum.

Sure thing...

- A 3" blued Iver Johnson 3rd Model in .32 S&W

- 1960's Rossi snub in .32 Long

- A stainless 631 snub (rare bird) in .32 H&R

Nothing wrong with .32s...
 
I have been known to have a lemon squeezer in my pocket at times but I wouldn't pull it out unless I could touch an assailant's bare skin or eyeball.:D
 
.32 CCW Revolver

Well, since you guys admitted it, I too have "sometimes" been guilty.

I have a nice (& nice looking), well functioning H&R Premier Topbreak in .32 S&W (short), blued 3'' bl., that I've been known to slip in my pocket, as backup only.

Now you know the whole story!:D
