how do you guys get cosmo off wood?

^ That's genius. Dang regular ol' MacGyver. Blasphmey! If it weren't for that cosmo, we wouldn't have all these great milsurps to play with.

    Marlin 30/30??

Ouch. Well good luck, but that other guy would be an idiot not to take it if it's in good condition.

    Are all ak-47's alike

I used to have a WASR but sold it a few years back. Bought me an Arsenal SGL21 and now have a rifle I would never get rid of.

The more I see these rifles, the more I want one. I realize this is an old thread but those are beautiful.

What guns would you rather have?

I've got about a dozen rifles and a few pistols. The only firearm I own that I've never shot is my Maverick 88. I would sell it but they're so cheap I might as well keep it.

    Why not Savage?

I have a Savage 10 .243 and it's probably the only hunting rifle I'll ever own. As far as ugly goes, I'm not sure what makes it ugly? It's very accurate and I have 0 complaints about it. I can't imagine a more expensive rifle will kill a deer any better than mine.

What started your interest in milsurps?

I have my grandfathers inventory list of what he had to claim when he came back from the European theater. There's a Luger listed but he apparently sold it a while back. Would have loved to inherit that.

Great, if this thing doesn't go away in 4 hours I've got to call the doctor.

Did I do good? CZ 75B stainless.

I'd say you did fantastic. I was looking for a SS one a few months ago and couldn't find one anywhere.

What rifle would be used by WWII soldier European theater?

My grandfather was in the 93rd Cavalry Recon Squadron, 13th armored division in WWII. I wish I would've asked him what firearm he carried, but I do have a homemade knife he carried and used to cut off his buddies leg after they were hit by a mortar. He was in a half track recon vehicle when...

    Milsurp collectors

I can't say that it's my "grail" milsurp, but it's definitely at the top of my wanted list.
