What is the best combat handgun in use today?

Questions like this cause so many funny replies.... The best hangun you ask.... There are many that tie for first place because there are many differemt kinds of shooters. I can perform very well with my HK USPc .40, but not as well with my Colt 1911. I shoot my XDs well, but they are not as...

M&P vs XD vs Glock - There can be only one...

I can't agree more. This is so important. All three are good - but which of the three is the best tool in your own hands? Only you can decide that. And.... you may want to consider an HK USP compact or HK P2000, because they are awesome guns!

    Great Holster Alert

Hey ArchAngelCD - you are correct! I have one : ) Love it. It's in my box of holsters....

H&K USP Compact or Full size?

My USPc .40 carrys well, is accurate, and sexy - I mean reliable : ) The recoil in my .40 USPc is less felt than my bro's S&W .45 Cal (457) about the same size weapons.

    Great Holster Alert

If you're looking for a great IWB - here's one. Bought it off ebay for my USPc and am very happy. Just ordered a secon for my XD Sub Compact. Looks like he gets them for several models fairly often. Awesome Price ( $45. Shipped ) - Great Quality ( Much better than my Don Hume! )-...

    Breaking in a new Usp

I think what Glenn Bartley is calling a break-in period is different than what most people think of a break-in period being. I agree with Glenn that no gun should be put in to service until proven - that is some great advise that he's giving us all. I like to get 1,000 rounds with no failure...

    Breaking in a new Usp

The USP should come ready to shoot - mine did - with no break-in. I like to use a combo of oil & lube after cleaning.... 1- After cleaning the barrel, a light coat of oil inside & out. 2- Lube along the rails then rack the slide a bunch & wipe off the excess. 3- a drop of oil or two...

What are your thoughts on this video?

    I think it's stupid.

    XDs or Sigs

I like the way XD feels in my hand better - think Sig has a slight higher quality - but not worth the extra $$$$$$$.

1911 vs. Sig vs. glock vs. HK reliability

I trust my HK, and I trust the brand. My HK USPc now has a couple thousand through it with out a single quirk. I won't put a gun in to service until I have 1,000 through it without malfunctions - my HK is good to go as well as my two XDs. By way of contrast - the Wilson I had was a...

Kimber - are they still to be avoided?

Just buy from a dealer that stands behind their guns if you can. My local dealer has a great return program.

    I have 4 hit list

Wow - lots of sarcastic posts.... Even for my taste & I have been known to be a bit sarcastic my self. First off - I don't blame him for putting 1911s on his list of guns he does not like. I love them and own a Colt made in 1943 that is great, but they can be very unreliable. I bought a...

9mm is cheaper & performs well, 45 is more proven, why all the agencies going 40S&W??

Mavracer - are you a teenager? Bottom line. All three rounds will get the job done with the right load in the right hands. What's wrong with a few options.... Anyhow - I'm outa here - this horse stinks like mavracer sauce

9mm is cheaper & performs well, 45 is more proven, why all the agencies going 40S&W??

Yes you can go on forever I'm sure. But you're using two loads combined to out-perform one.... I just like .40 cause I think it has the best of both worlds in one round. Anyhow - what ever. I wouldn't want to be shot with any of them. The only reason I'm replying is you said my first...
