I bought a used Taurus model 85 ultralite from a gun shop today (i was pretty happy with $302 otd), but i did'nt get the box or owner's manual or anything. Is there any way to tell if the 38 special +p is ok to shoot? Is it fine as long as it's a 38 special caliber? Does it have to be marked...

Looks like i'm finally getting my first 9 mil, an xdm 9 from a dude online. I work all over, so every time i pass a wal mart, i hop in and buy some 40 and 45 ammo if they have any.
