    .38 +P ammo in a .357 Mag 1873 mod Uberti

yeah, that was what I was asking. The reason is, after purchasing the weapon, the store owner seriously said that I should not shoot a .38 sp +P round... he would not recommend it. Therefore the question. Did not know the ballistics figured you guys would know. He was limited on ammo that...

    .38 +P ammo in a .357 Mag 1873 mod Uberti

Locally I can find .38 +P every where, but I am having a time finding .38 sp for plinking. I am cautious about +p ammo. But I was considering shooting it in a .357 mag Uberti single action. What do you guys think? Should there be anything to worry about? PS... I am trying to keep the cost...

My son has gotten into CAS. He saved up and bought a Uberti mod 1873 Cattleman, which is a pretty sweet little gun. We have smooth the action and the gun shoots perfect for me. I can bust shooting clays at 30 yrds. dead on. I am leveling the gun out with a full bead. The problem lies...

    Ky Rifle Project Finished.

Here are some close up of the barrel... wished the pics would do the barrel better justice. But I can tell you I am very satisfied! Oh, by the way... when browning a barrel, do follow the instructions and have ample ventilation; don't take much of that stuff to get down on bad air!

    Ky Long Rifle Project

Thanks Cowboy2, As you can tell, I am a newbie at this. After reading your post I made a trip down to Lowe's (the only choice we have here). I called my buddy up to make sure about the blo after reading the warnings on the front of the can. But purchased all that I would need for the project...

    Ky Long Rifle Project

Thanks guys... think I am going to try Cowboy2's instructions. From what I can tell, it is as close to the color that I am wanting to go for. The wood is ash. A good friend of mine who does wood work confirmed it earlier today. I suspect that they used what wood they got the cheapest to put...

Is Desert Eagle a good gun for protection in the woods?

I am considering a Desert Eagle .50 for protection in the woods. We only have black bears here, but one day would like to hunt out west. I know that Griz are not as friendly as the black bears around here. Found this site: http://www.remtek.com/arms/imi/desert/index.htm Just interested in...
