I don't read this forum as often as I once did, but I'm surprised to see that standards here have sunk to the point where a guy can say outright that he carries extra rounds because he expects to have to shoot a "whole pack" of black people. That said, I was surprised to see that "race" isn't...
Is this the same Bracken who wrote the "Enemies Foreign & Domestic" patriot fiction trilogy? If so I would question the wisdom of regarding any of his works as worthwhile.
There is an easier way for lefties: Right hand releases grip, leaving gun in left hand. Right hand moves up to press middle and ring fingers against cylinder, stabilizing with index and pinky aganst frame. Right thumb presses cylinder release and middle/ring fingers push open cylinder. At this...
Agreed. Plus True Blood doesn't take itself all that seriously. It's good fun.
I think it would be entertaining to experiment with wooden bullets like they have on the show for anti-vampire duty. Sadly I have no press, lathe, or spare time.
The 26 isn't much smaller than the 19. I'd keep the 19 if I were you. The only pistol I haven't regretted selling was an FEG PA-63, but I got more for it than it was worth and put that money into the Glock 19.
I did buy a Ruger LCP and a nice kydex pocket holster from aholster for summer...
Voted SAO for range use, but I'd like to suggest that there's a reason Glocks have found such widespread acceptance in defensive pistol sports. Their triggers aren't exactly superb, but they're a great compromise for quickly and accurately putting lead into a target at defensive ranges. I really...
You're not paranoid.
It's best not to advertise that you have weapons. At the very least someone could decide to help themselves to a weapon. At worst you could get a visit from a SWAT team (unlikely).
It's most expedient simply to keep a low profile.
How very "High Road" of you. :scrutiny:
Have you read the GAO report on the equipment destruction, or are you just parroting what the talking heads on Fox news claimed at the time?
I do agree that Clinton was no friend to gun owners/enthusiasts. I too find his administration's eagerness to...
Looks like a Serbu Super-Shorty. They're pricy, though.
Too bad you can't just buy stock/barrel-less receivers directly from the manufacturers. It'd be much cheaper to build your own.
You're mostly correct. When I was still in school (not so very long ago) I didn't have much money, and hedonism certainly had its place in my life.
That said, even on the "starving student" budget I managed to put aside enough to get a decent weapon. I'd say it's a matter of priorities, and I...
