I have a nice collection of Skinner sights and I like them a lot. I'll dial the 1894's and 95's in at 100 yds and leave them. For the 39 I'm very fond of the marble tang. Mine is set for 50 yds then 8 clicks up and I'm dialed in at 100. Very handy. I have the 16.5" 39tds so the extra sight...

I want one! First, I'd like to join the club. Sorry for the bad pic, just wanted to pass muster. I have the stock cylinders plus a classic ballistix, 45 colt conversion, and a 45 acp conversion. Obviously I need the 209 cylinder! How do i participate in the purchase? Thanks!

39TDS Case I have a TDS and it is pretty awesome. Mine's a shooter so I put a marble tang sight on it and a Lyman 17ahb aperture on the front ramp. Pretty deadly combo at 50 yards and I can hit a paper plate at 100. The rifle could do better if i could see better! The case I have is very...

Redtractor man... ... the tip tenon drifts out. Then you can get the forearm off. Be careful, it's a tight fit and if you think you're going to ruin the 1950 forearm, take it to a gunsmith.

Fast Frank: I'm always behind on this thread! Anyway I got my 7yr old grandson the Savage Cub. Marlin also has a little bolt action 917V i think. The Savage was lighter so I went with it. It has been awesome! It has the accu-trigger and is a tack driver. It comes with a peep and after he got...

I saw some questions about the rebounding hammer. There is not an extra spring, there is an extra leg. It's quite ingenious because everything else about the rifle stayed the same. The only change is an extra leg on the hammer strut. Simple, sweet, elegant, redundant safety feature. SO OBVIOUSLY...

Shrinkmd I haven't been to the 39 club for awhile and missed your post. The Lyman 17ahb is the correct globe / aperture for the Marlin 39. It's a 3/8 dovetail and is their lowest sight. It slides right into the ramp (fitting required). It will hang over the ramp on both sides because it's...

Rebounding Hammer Fix There's a guy named Gizzy that posted this fix somewhere in rifle country. It's very easy: 1. Many of the marlins with rebounding hammers still have a half cock notch on the hammer. It's recommended that you only proceed with hammers that have the half cock notch...

Marlin 39 TDS 16" Barrel Nem There's a nice little Marlin 39 TDS on Gunbroker. I don't see any bids on it, you might contact the seller. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=81856767 Marlin quit making these in '95 or so I think. I love mine. Not only shorter barrel but...

Globe Front Sight Does anyone know of a particular front aperture, or globe, front sight that fits a Marlin 39 or 39A? Does it fit the ramp? How tall is it? TIA

Marble Sight Bentonville I hope you find what you're looking for. I never sell parts, even if I'm not using them. I may want to put the rifle back to stock and sell it some day. As a matter of fact I collect spare parts! I have a spre extractor and ejector and will probably add to that list...

1950 39A and Marble's Peep Tang I put a Marble's Peep Tang sight on my 1950 39A because I didn't want to scope it but had I to do something. Older eyes I guess. When I sighted it in I got to 2.5 in groups at 50 yards. What's puzzling is that I have the Peep Tang adjusted way left. I figured...

I bought it today and it's on the way... I bought this 39TDS from a dealer in LA (state not city) and I can't wait to get it should be to me next week sometime. It's new, never been fired. I paid too much and I will shoot the heck out of it. My grandson will too so I think I'll leave the ugly...

Thanks again Dfariswheel, thank you very much! I'll proceed with the parts I've got and get them as clean as possible. I'll also take your advice and not worry about bluing the bore. Nematocyst, I agree this forum is awesome!
