    Any Remington 700 SPS Tactical?

I own a 223 tactical and really like it. Groups hold around 1/2 with 69 BTHP's and 70 bergers vlds, 3/4" with 75 and 77 grain BTHP's, all 5 shot groups. It is a nice handy rifle and when it is time to rebarrel I will put a 20" or 21" barrel back on it.

    Police guns

My Dept issues every thing except back up weapons. Currently Glock model 22 40cal(soon to be a slim frame 45, not sure on the model #), Colt M4 if SRT member other wise same thing but semi only, mossberg 590 w/14" barrel. We did have ruger mini14 prior to the ar switch in the late 90's. MSP who...

    Harris Bipod

I use both a 6-9 and 9-12, over a bench the 6-9 is great but doesn’t always work well off the ground in prone for that I find the 9-12 to work best for me. It just depends on your terrain and ground cover. One thing I would advise, spend the little extra for notched legs and swivel. I cant not...

    Good deer rifle

A 243, 260, 7mm-08, 308 all work well on deer for several hundred years with a lot less recoil. Match the type of bullet to the game you are pursing and you will be good to go for varmint's up to elk.

    Remington 700 bull barrel

Rock Creek, Broughton, Brux, Krieger, Pac-Nor, Lawton, Lilja, Shilen, Lothar Walther, and Schneider to name a few, they would all make one to your specs. Or search Gun Broker in rifle parts on barrels, you may be about to find a new to newer take off factory barrel.

The only mag kit I know of is made by CDI http://cdiprecisiongunworks.com/c1/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1 It uses Accuracy International mags.

308 or 30-06 for target shooting?

The reason is that most rifle competitions where a 308 is used, it is required... Or 223 is the only other option. In a comp that allows other calibers, shooters generally use something with much better ballistics in bullet diameters of .243, .264 or even .284. all of which have bullets...

Fair asking price for a Leupold Vari-X II 6-18x40mm (AO) silver?

Dryhumor is right on, check completed listings. That will tell you what they have been selling at. I have all ways had the best luck starting at 1c... Also keep in mind you will get more out of it around August and September, as the hunting crowd will be looking for up grades just before season.

    Best hunting rifle?

Another vote for the 7mm-08 or 308 and match the bullet to the game you are pursuing.

    Triangular 700 barrels?

No they would not be any better than a normal barrel. Its just something new to market. The only benefit would be in weight savings. I believe these are varmint contour barrels that have been planed down and they would not be as stiff as the parent barrel. They would cool a little quicker...

    Rem 700 Accuracy?

The 308 varmint I have is a older one with the HS precision stock and its shoots into .6 moa out to 200 yards and just under moa at 450. The reason its opens up at 450 may be partly due to changing from a bench to a field prone position. If you reload, mine likes H380 and 168 SMK's the best...

    Which scope?

If all you intend to use it for is paper (for now) the Super Sniper 10x42 would be hard to beat. A big plus to them is resale value. It is common for used ones to sell within 50 bucks of what new ones currently cost. You will be hard press for any of the others to hold on to there value like...

    Value opinions, Desert Eagle .44

Good price! I believe I paid 695 for mine in 1993 and it was the model before the new safety lever and adjustable trigger came out on the markIV.
