    New to reloading, need help.

Also, The ABC's of Reloading is an excellent book with good basic information. In addition, any of the reloading manuals such as the Lyman, Speer, or Hornady manuals are excellent as well. There are others - these are just a few examples - there are many others. redintex

Why the soot with my .38spl loads?

+3 on the charge. Just bump up gradually toward 6g and you will find your "sweet spot."

Is Universal or 231 the cleanest burning?

    231 always gets my vote!

380 acp 95 gn LeadRN with W231 and Titegroup

As always should be stated with any load recipes given online, check with your manuals/official powder website. Having checked three of them on my end, here is what worked for me with a Keltec P3AT (very similar to your LCP, so it should be close - at least to get you in the ballpark to load a...

    Major Screw-up... Wrong primers

I think that as some others have stated, the big issue is if they seated as SP primers normally would. If so, try one of each as suggested. If you are going to reload that brass, just be sure to note how the SP primers fit after that. I'm sure there are more experienced folks than I about...

    TNT Reloading

This is a 4 year old thread; however, a friend of mine just placed an order with them for a bunch of primers. The website showed them to be in stock, but they emailed him the next day and said that the order was cancelled as the primers were not in stock. I don't know anything other than that...

    500 S&W brass

Gary B is right on target. When the 500 S&W was first produced, it used Large Pistol primers. Starline and the other manufacturers obviously used LP primers, but then they redesigned the pockets to start using Large Rifle primers. There is still quite a bit of LP 500 brass, but you don't want...

    Primer recomendation

A lot of folks, especially the customized, competition revolvers, use pretty much exclusively Federal, as they tend to play well with those. I have found that CCI are some of the hardest. I normally use Winchester, but I am not in the customized, competition revolver crowd, either. My .02...

    .500mag problems

I did encounter differences in loading the .500. I use 38.0 (if I recall correctly) H110 and the Sierra 350g or Hornady 350g JHPs. I did end up using a light spray/misting of Hornady One Shot or my cases to get them to go comfortably in the dies. This is using new Starline brass. Also, I...
