    Canik 55 TP9 V2- Quick review

Okay, I know...a "knockoff". Well, here's the truth. I've owned dozens of handguns over the years, from Maks to Colt Mark IV's and numerous ones in between. Right now I've got several Glocks, several Rugers, several CZ's, a couple of Maks, several Smiths....an so forth. I went out on a limb and...

    Ruger LC9- Review

Just thought of another benefit...Turning a negative into a positive. Fire the LC9 about 100 times and then grab your standard/duty/regular handgun. Your accuracy will be better. I have to believe it's due to better trigger control and not anticipating the break as sometimes happens...

    Ruger LC9- Review

First of all, I'm a CZ guy through and through although my dept makes me carry Glocks. So that's my frame-of-reference from the git-go. I decided that I'd like to get something for "deeper" CC that was small, light, reliable, didn't print... but did the job. I had a G26, Mak and Czech82 to...

    Saiga Barrel Threading

What would seem to be a simple question seems to be more difficult than I thought. Been to Saiga12 forum and they dance around the question with other ideas... Simply put: can a Saiga .233 barrel be threaded to the standard 1/14 LH without removing the FSB or any other parts by a reasonably...

    Your thoughts on the CZ-82

Between the Mak and the CZ82 the main difference is width/weight. Both are absolutely reliable, the Mak is thinner and weighs less, so for CC it's my choice. But the CZ has higher mag cap, better trigger and generally a better shooter. Thefinish is poor on the CZ, but aesthetics aside, it works...

    First Impressions of CZ

Agree Fast...the CZ82 is the finest $200 pistol on the market. Actually, it's the best $450 pistol on the market that just happens to cost $200. 4 of them later (I've outfitted my family with them) I have to say that they really are one of the best buys out there. If CZ offered one in a single...

Should I pull the trigger on a Saiga 308?

There are two ways you can go with the Saiga. I have a .308 with the 21" barrel. The first option is to leave it sort of stock, meaning don't go crazy with the modifications. I put the Saiga skeleton stock and a 6x24 POSP scope on it and it works just fine. Being a lefty, the cheek piece just...

    wasr 10

For $876 walk away. I purchased one from J&G store with a folding stock, extra mag and all the extra "stuff" for $379.00 They are what they are....a lower-level Com-Bloc AK. Pretty much any other nation's AK is a better rifle, but, they feed, fire and eject every time. They are rough, and not...

    Under $300 pump gun?

NEF Pardner pump, 18" barrel. Put a sidesaddle on it that holds 6 rounds, get a 100 lumen flashlight/laser on sale from Big 5 for $29.00 and you have a home defense rig that will solve all your security issues for a total under $300.00. Load it with #4 buck to reduce penetration into other rooms...

    First Impressions of CZ

Be careful Gord when handling and then purchasing a CZ 'cuz they tend to reproduce. Many if not most of us start with the 75B and then go to a smaller, lighter model and so on. The 75B is a fantastic shooter, but the P-07, Combat and Rami are all just soooooo cool. You won't go wrong with any...

21 yr old on a budget needs a gun

Gonna have to go with those recommending the CZ82. They really are a $500 handgun available for $150.00 12+1 mag, fires HP, very good trigger, ulta-reliable, feels "just right", ambi controls...Easy field strip, accurate, yada, yada... There isn't a better pistol out there under $250.00. The...

Mak convert added to the ranks

Just something to remember...if CC isn't your goal, the CZ82 is really a more refined weapon with higher capacity. If I had to choose between any of the mipsurp 9x18's out there, the CZ would win hands-down for a trunk gun. It's just heavier and thicker than the Mak and that makes it less...

Mak convert added to the ranks

It's my understanding that the East German one's are the best, but you'll pay for them. To be honest, they are not pretty...they are just exactly like a tiny version of an AK only more accurate. You will find, after the .45ACP that they are easy to shoot and cost a whole lot less to train...

Mak convert added to the ranks

I took a friend out today, a die-hard large frame guy and had him shoot my Bulgarian Mak. He'd never fired a 9x18 and had his reservations. 200 rounds later chasing 2-liter pop bottles all over the side of a hill at 50' or so he handed it to me and said "I guess I should take this home and...

Columbia River Knife, good choice or not?

I agree Limpsalot...I followed your link and thought "hey that's my knife" but then after I pulled mine out of my pocket I have the M-1603Z which is a little brother with a thinner blade profile. Either way, they work and work and work. For non-everyday outings, the Benchmade Emerson CQC7 is...
