Great post. You made some very good points and this is an argument I hear often.

I voted OTHER because I either carry a Sig P239 or a Glock 19. Love them both. The Sig is a little less blocky and I prefer carrying it. The funny thing is both guns are almost identical in size but the G19 weighs an ounce LESS with 15 rounds compared to my P239 with 8 rounds. Oh well.

+1 on the Sig 2022. Can be had for $400 or less and is a great shooter.

I am right handed left eye dominant. Is the problem with Rifles or Handguns? What is the problem. I shoot pistols in my right hand and both eyes open, no problem. I shoot rifles left handed because it feels better that way.

Personal preference. What do you shoot best and what fits your hand best? I have found that XDs have been specifically designed not too fit my hand. Either the grip is too long or not long enough to get a full three finger grip (I prefer).
