The best deal really is the CZ-82. I recently saw one in the store for $265 with an extra mag, holster, and mag pouch. You can get 500 rounds of range ammo for about $100 shipped. Plus CZ-USA will still service them because they are similar to the current CZ-83.
I also have a soft spot for the CZ P-07 Duty. It is a great gun that can be had for $436 with transfer. It has a DA/SA trigger system. It has the Omega trigger system so you can switch between decocker and manual safety. The gun is balls on accurate, it comes with two 16 round mags, they include a bore brush and cleaning rod, and it requires no break in. Mine has fired everything from 115gr plinking ammo to 147gr flat tip without a hitch. I have loaded mixed mags and the gun still handles fine.
That gun is quickly replacing my other guns as my favorite. Even though my Taurus 85b3 has seen me through two close calls it is on the shelf. I have been carrying my P-07 every where. If I can take it legally, I do.
$436 and you get a gun that has passed the Czech national police torture tests. It has passed muster to be carried by municipal police in the country. It is also carried by police departments in Spain. Bulgaria, Thailand, and the Phillipines all issue the P-07 as the official side arm of their Ministrys of Interior. Protective and security services in Israel and South Africa also use them.
Read the article from the 2011 CZ buyer's guide. The gun is built like a tank. Plus it hadles and holds like a dream. I could go on for days about this gun. I love the gun and would happily pay the $599 being asked for a new G4 Glock. Instead I got it for $483, total. From Jet Guns it can be in your hand for $436. The best deal out there in my opinion.
