If you're looking for a quieter pellet trap try the Gehmann traps. They have a spring loaded back plate. That's what I've been using. Really cuts down on the noise and there are no bounce backs. I've shot my HW50 and IZH46M at it and I've had no problems. Pellet guns are fun.

The ones i have seen require removal of the rearsight and then a mount is placed in it's place. You can mount it without permanent alteration to the rifle. The problem with the setup is that the rifle will be setup in the scout configuration because the rear sight is too far forward.
What the deal with these 16" Mini-14's I've seen. I know people cut down their Mini-barrels to increase accuracy. Anyone have one of these factory 16 inch factory Mini-14s? Are they some kinda LE overrun or something? Is the accuracy any better than the 18"?
