A buddy of mine wants to sell his HK SL7 for him as he's not very computer savey.

Basically what he has is a 90-95% condition SL7, comes with the standard mag and four 10 rounders (factory HK mags, 2 of which are still in original wrap), extra rubber buttstock and a HK quick detachable scope mount/rings along with a cheapie B-square mount.

Also comes with a HK cleaning kit.

I have no idea what's it worth, any ideas?

Now why would someone wanna sell a fine firearm like that? Hopefully someone in Kali will take it off your friend's hands.

Yeah, but your SL-8 magically convert over to a 308???

Sides, the G-36 isn't that "great" of a gun, barrels melting from the receiver just doesn't do it for me. Granted most of us will never shoot auto to the point this happens, but still scary neverless. Only thing good about the G-36 right now is that it is the new "hollywood gun" right now.

Now back to my question. Anyone have any idea what this is worth?

One of the big problems is that not a lot of folks know about these and few change hands, so it's hard to gauge value.

I've seen NIB SL7s at shows in the $1000-$1500 range. They got a lot of curious looks but not a lot of takers.

You might try over at HKPRO.

Here is a gunsamerica listing, $1795 for a gun with fewer accessories. I would guess it would go for a bit more, especially if it is sold in California.

Yeah I know. I am sure the G-36 is a fine weapon, but there are a lot of people that are treating it like it is the epitome of weapon design. Like all guns it has flaws, and there are arguably better designs out there.
