What guns are you drooling over right now?

Wow, I wasn't aware of that keltec ksg until I read this thread. That thing looks awesome. If they figure out how to make a semiauto bullpup that holds 14+1..... i'm drooling just thinking about it! Anyway, here's my list - CZ Hammer Coach - Kel-Tec KSG - Remington R15 Predator (can't pick...

    Ignorance is bliss.

I'm right there with ya on that CZ Hammer Coach! I don't do cowboy action shooting or anything like that, I just find it to be an incredibly attractive firearm and it seems like it would be a hoot to shoot. If you ever pick one up, be sure and post about it!

My Reason For Cleaning My Guns

If I understand correctly, that's how weatherby shoots their test targets, 3 shots out of a cold barrel. So I think my question is still valid, if a brand new gun with a cold barrel can shoot a .75 three shot group, how much harm is cleaning the barrel going to do?

My Reason For Cleaning My Guns

I can understand why people clean their guns out of sheer compulsion, how they get theraputic value out of it, and so on. But to not clean it because it's sighted in? I understand that with rimfires, a little fouling is good for groups. But centerfire? I bought a Weatherby Vanguard before...

What noise canceling headphones should I buy?

A little more on these.... when shopping, what you want to look for is the noise reduction rating, it'll say NRR 27 or 33 or whatever it is for that set, the higher the better. I think a lot of people tend to cut corners when it gets to this aspect of the hobby, but personally I think this is...

What noise canceling headphones should I buy?

I bought the pro ears stalker gold, they were a little pricey, but work amazingly. Amplifies voices very well, and so comfortable that you'll forget you are wearing them. My dad tried them and liked them enough that he bought a set too. Shop around online, there are some big discrepancies in...

    Dillon Square Deal B Review

I picked up a SDB in 38/357 on a hot deal from one of my dads co-workers. I still need to get it set up and find some .40S&W dies for it. I'd like to thank Jenrick for the informative and detailed review. Also, jmorris, that's a nice setup, mounting it to the hitch receiver is a brilliant idea!

    Pictures: CZ-75 In Digital Camo

That turned out really nice, I'm not a huge camo fan but that looks sharp! May I ask, what's a job like that cost? Looks exponentially better than 99% of the home-sprayed jobs you see.

Guns in repayment of a loan

I agree with most of the above. Take whatever he'll give you, sell it off for what you can get, and cut your losses. And learn from it... don't loan money, period. You're just enabling someone elses bad habits. It sounds like your fiancee maybe saw this coming, having an outside perspective...

    wasted 17 HMR

My .17 is way more fun than my .22's, which are still loads of fun. As long as you're looking, check out the Savages with the Accutrigger. I spent a little more for the laminate thumbhole stock too, which I think looks really nice and is very ergonomic. My dad has that Marlin you're looking...

    Decent compact .40S&W options

What, you can't shoot reloads in Glock .40's? There's been countless threads and arguments on here, among other sites, to the contrary.

What gun belongs to what caliber the best?

I agree, .40 S&W goes with Glock. And when someone says 30-06 to me, I envision a hunting rifle, not a battle rifle. But that's just me. And didn't Garand actually lobby for the .270 and the military opted instead for the 30-06?

How many rifles do you own?

These polls aren't very scientific, but it is interesting how the results are distributed, kind of an inverse bell curve.

Long Range - Iron Sights - Old School

Great pictures and an awesome narrative! And a beautiful range as well, I'm jealous!

    Help me learn about ARs

Jon, keep us posted on what you find and how your build goes. Lately I've become pretty fascinated with the idea of a .204 AR build myself, but it'll likely be a few months before I can get started. Good luck, and we hope to see some pics as it progresses!
