Anyone have any insider knowledge on how to obtain a AAC Triad 3-lug adapter? These things seem to be the holy grail. Can't even find them on the secondary market.
I've carried full-size and commander-size 1911s. Glock 19. Glock 26. M&P40. M&P9c. And a Springfield EMP.
For me, the best concealed carry I've found and continue to love is the M&P Shield 40. I carry it daily in a Comp-tac CTAC holster and forget it's there sometimes. It's single-stack so it's...
My bedside gun is a Springfield TRP with TLR-2 on it. I have a few mags in the nightstand. I keep this gun beside my bed over all my other handguns beside its the gun I'm the most accurate with. I'd much rather have 8/8 on target than 8/17. :D
So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great ambassador for our sport and my home state. And he was a big part of what THR is.
While his passing is truly saddening, there is also reason to rejoice. No doubt his soul is complete again now that he is back with his wife whom he missed so much...
My favorite IWB holster is the Comp-tac CTAC.
I've owned one for 3 or 4 years now for my M&P40. The clips broke after the first couple of years and I had to replace them. But the holster is extremely comfortable.
I just ordered two more. One for a full size 1911 and one for my new Shield.
Perhaps he wasn't sane or law-abiding. At this point, we simply do not know.

Yeah, a key part to that story was that he "opened the door pointing the gun at the deputies."
Regardless of whether they are law enforcement or not, it's not wise to open a door immediately pointing a gun at someone.
I think it's a good discussion to have, for sure. But I'd be interested to...
No wonder i can't find a Shield! Shipwreck is buying them all up! Please stop hoarding the Shields! :D
I've been on a waiting list for 6 weeks. :cuss:
Nice pair of guns, Shipwreck.
I think he was saying that not everyone with bad intentions hides their guns. A point of which I would agree, if for no other reason than it is unwise to paint with such a broad brush.
This was the best course of action. They think that we are some sort of mouth-breathing heathens. The best way to show them we are not, is to do exactly what you did. This will go much further in winning over people like that than arguing about the law.
Good work.
Or, perhaps make the decision to carry in a decent holster.
ANY gun I carry that doesn't have some type of manual safety gets carried in a kydex holster that has some level of retention and COMPLETELY covers the trigger guard.
In my opinion, the blame here can be placed squarely on the...
