I never met him personally (to my regret) but he pm'd me several times with advice about shooting in Alabama. Sad news.

Though we often see death as a sad event, it is merely the next step in the soul's continuing journey and in this case an exceptional one. May Dan enjoy his days side by side with those who made that journey before him and may all who knew him remember him fondly.

Thank you for your service, Dan and for a life well led.

Sorry to hear. Yes it seems like when a spouse passes, the other is usually not far behind. I think that Dan died of a broken heart.

I'm sad to hear this. I always enjoyed reading what he posted and learned a lot along the way...he will not be forgotten!

So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great ambassador for our sport and my home state. And he was a big part of what THR is.

While his passing is truly saddening, there is also reason to rejoice. No doubt his soul is complete again now that he is back with his wife whom he missed so much since her passing.

That is sad to hear. I do hope his passing was easy and his family remembers him with joy.

RIP. At least he won't be around the see any more draconian laws.

RIP. Recently it's been sad to hear that some of the really familiar THR names will no longer be around. He will be missed.

Always sad to lose one. I believe good people go to a better place where there is no gun control and spirits are completely free. That's heaven to me. I hope Ala Dan is there now and happy.
