My son bought me a 1849 "Wells Fargo" for Christmas and it is a hoot to fire. By the way I want to thank you all for this addiction, a walker, 1860, new army and now this one since July.
But back to my point, I have decided to start carrying it for my every day carry because it is such a nice piece and I feel comfortable with it. Of course my back up will still be my shield. Thought of using the Walker but to many comments if that was a pickle in my pocket

When I'm feeling whimsical or just born in the wrong century I carry.

In this cross draw.

Besides, if I need more than six I can escape in the smoke screen.:D

Rodwha, thanks for pointing that out and I just looked. Yes, definitely buy the 6 1/2 inch barreled revolver and then buy an additional 3 1/2 inch barrel for conceal carry. Talk about having a sweet little compact revolver with the punch of a 36 caliber.

I've carried our 5-1/2" Pocket Police IWB without a holster a number of times. Was trying to decide if that extra 1" was a problem over the 4-1/2" Pocket Police or Navy(OOP). No difference in comfort but the shorter barrel is less apt to print if not covered by leather.

Conversely, the New Model Pocket Remington just disappears in your pockets, with or without a holster!

we have turned blue in my poor state but you can still open carry.
You can thank the Mass refugees for that. I'd escape to Maine where carrying is now permitless for residents and I'd escape quickly before they pass a law that forbids people from leaving the state.

Don't know about you, but that 3 1/2" barrel sends a thrill up my leg

I totally agree!!! That '62 Police in what ever length barrel is one sweet revolver.

1862 Police or pocket Navy both carry well in a Dells Leather Works shoulder holster. I did break down and order a 3 1/2" barrel though!:D

The '62 Police combines the small size of the pocket .31's with the better stopping power of the '51 Navies. :)

My 1860 is a 3". .36's are nice, and lighter, but I like the .44 caliber. Looking from the front the hole in the barrel looks huge. And looking at those lead balls in the cylinder is a bit intimidating.
