Call the number in post #246.

You are about a month behind me.
And I still have no check, even though they told me it was mailed last Friday.

Is the current model any better for the problems mentioned including battery life? I think it's the 518.A65 for $500 or so.

Or, what is the best alternative in price range for size, reticle, performance & battery life? Looking for something for HD Colt M4.

Thanks

I bought an Aimpoint PRO for less then $400.

http://www.aimpoint.com/product/aimpoint-pro/

Very happy with it.

3+ year battery life if left turned on.
Indefinite life of the battery if turned off. (Should be at least 10 years.)

It's a little larger and a little heavier then the old EOTech, but appears to be bullet proof.

I bought an extra battery locally for $3.95.

So I'm good for 20 years using it on a 'stand by' bump in the night rifle.

And I'll be dead of old age by then!!

BTW: EOtech told me the check was in the mail last Friday,, 3-11-16.
Still haven't got it yet as of Wednesday, 3-16-16. :scrutiny:

It usually doesn't take 6 days for a 1st. Class letter to get 560 miles!

I bought a like new Aimpoint M4s for $550 shipped which I have on my 9mm AR. I have a Vortex PST 1-4x20 Viper on my Tavor. I recently bought a brand new Vortex Spitfire 3x for $250 to replace my EOTech 557.G23 combo on my RRA Entry Tactical. I am thinking about mounting a Vortex Venom in a 45 degree mount. The Spitfire and the Venom combined are less than the cost of a used EOTech 557.G23 and have received lots of praise.

I am also interested in the Vortex Sparc II and Sparc AR red dots. They also seem to be getting good reviews and by all YouTube torture tests that I've seen, they can take quite a pounding and far more abuse than they'll ever see on my rifles (unless perhaps zombies cause trouble again).

Aimpoints are tough as nails and the Vortex have lots of positive reviews and if anything goes wrong, Vortex will fix them no questions asked. Right now, I don't think you can really go wrong with Aimpoint, Vortex, or Leupold (another favorite brand with excellent customer service).

... and DONE.

Submitted my RMA request on 1/8, and ten days later I received authorization. Just over sixty days and I've got my refund check in hand.

All in all, I think they're doing pretty well with the turnaround time. YMMV

Wife handed me mine today for $504. Bought from Brownells and gave them a copy of the invoice. Don't know why they refunded me more than I paid, but I won't complain.

Was your check for exactly $15 more than you paid? I believe EOTech is adding $15 to cover shipping.

Got my check in today's mail as well. Already picked up an Aimpoint Pro to replace the Eotech. So far, so good!

My check arrived today.

I received my RMA on 12/28, and sent the sight in on 1/4.

Unfortunately, Optics Planet tells me that the Aimpoint PRO I ordered this week won't be delivered for 3-4 weeks. Too bad...the weather's supposed to be great here this weekend.

Well, I hate to break it to you, but the wait will probably be longer then that.

Insider info from a while back, and I hope I don't lose a friend by telling this.

But they had over 3,000 Aimpoint PRO's ordered, 550 back ordered, and receive them in less then 300 shipments from Aimpoint, every once and a while.

But everyone is in the same boat.

Apparently demand is far exceeding supply from Aimpoint at all the retailers who sell them.

IMO: It is worth waiting for though!!

As reported, mine was sent in on Feb. 19. Last Wednesday, March 17th I received a confirmation email that they had received the site and to expect a check in 3 to 4 weeks. I'll keep you posted. ;)

I mailed two in on 12/16/15 and a check arrived for one of them this past Friday or Saturday, i.e., a day or two ago (I didn't check the mail on Friday).

I've been following this thread to see if its time for me to call them or do something to follow up. Mine arrived back at EOTech Jan 25 according to the tracking number. Got my check last Friday March 18. They gave me the current price listed on Midway's website for that model plus $15 shipping. Very fair IMHO.

I've kept my other three EOTech sights that take AA batteries because I really do like them, they don't show the distortions mentioned (the one I returned did), and the poor battery life isn't much of an issue with cheap and readily available AA batteries. I may try some rechargeable NiMH AA batteries like I use in my digital camera and flash -- I've lots of these.

Uhh... I sent one sight back. And today I got not one, but TWO checks in the mail.

Back to back check #'s, same amount, but two different claim numbers.

They were in two separate envelopes, both addressed to me, so it wasn't a mail merge accident.

I'll have to call them (if that is possible?) or e-mail them and figure out which one I'm supposed to cash and which one they sent by error!

Got my check last week, couple of days after RC. Not surprising since I apparently sent my sight back a few days after him as well. Interestingly, they paid 12$ more than I paid. I sent in a copy of the Brownell's receipt. I think they added S&H- I didn't ask for it and I honestly doubt that I paid S&H (I usually hold orders until a free S&H special).

The following makes me wonder if the well is beginning to run dry:

They said up front they would pay $15 extra to cover your shipping costs.

I submitted $349.99 and received $364.99.
