Purely by accident I ended up in a local pawnshop today and what do I see under glass but a mint condition CZ75B stainless variant, DA/SA with safety. Included 2 magazines, original plastic box, papers etc.

I've wanted one for quite sometime and with a price tag of $550 I just couldn't find a good reason not to adopt the darn thing :uhoh:. I'd seen the same gun, new of course, earlier in the week for closer to $750.

Figured I'd share the joy, and a picture :)

That is a beautiful gun. The CZ 75 is one of the best 9mm's in the world, and you certainly got that one at a fair price.

In my book "Gun Control" is the ability to walk out of the gun store without buying another gun. I think that is going to be my new signature.

Enjoy!

have one I bought new. love it. have many other CZ as well. This is a great reliable bedside or "somewhere else in the house" gun. reliable, and great shooter due to ergonomics.

Lucky you! I have a polished stainless one on my wish list. I do have a 75b in glossy blue and it is fantastic.

That grip tape on the front strap isn't stock.
For 550, I may have snapped it up. I know I jumped when I found a NIB CZ75B SA for 450.

I think I would need two stainless 75's. one to polish, one to keep matte.

Those thin rubber grips are pretty nice too. I swapped out my thicker plastic ones pretty quick.

I've always preferred the matte to the polished version; it's a bit more restrained, very tasteful. I bought mine, oh, maybe four years ago now? Good shooting guns, too. Well done.

Are you kidding me...$550 for a stainless CZ75B with box, papers, and 2 magazines! That was one very sweet deal my friend! Enjoy!

Purchased my blued model some years ago for $265, times have changed. One the best 9mm going in my opinion.

Beautiful CZ congrats!
i picked up a high polish CZ 75b a few months ago, got about 300 rounds through it so far, just an excellent pistol
mine was around $800 at a local shop, not many Czs round my neck of the woods

saw somethjng similar in the used shelf of my lgs. matte stainless $515 with the older style box with 3 16 rd magazines one of which was still in plastic. they allowed me to field strip it and it was very clean doesn't look like much use.

I was very tempted but already had 3 czs. i left it alone to think about it. but it was gone when i went back.

Rarely saw any CZs in my neck of the woods. Finally found a gun shop some 2 hours away that carried them (mainly because the sales clerk who did the gun ordering liked them too). At the time I bought my first CZ I had my choice between a P01, P06, and a P07. Well I really didn't want a .40 so I ruled out the P06 right away. The P07 was nice but the grip frame shape (much like my beloved Hi-Power), and overall design features of the P01 won me over.

Icing on the cake was that they made me such a great offer on a Kadet .22 conversion kit to go with the P01, that I bought that too!

I've been slobbering over those matte stainless CZ75's on my local classified site for a while now, so all i can say is, "well done"!! $550 was a pretty decent price, from what I've seen.
(BTW, if you should have any ejection issues at all, just install a Wollf extra-strength extractor spring yourself. It seems to be a common issue that's easily self-repairable, and a better route than calling CZ's CS.)

Thanks for the tip MIL-DOT!

Nice find! I recommend a Kadet kit for it if you like shooting 22 LR. Here's my '06 model with a Kadet kit installed. It is probably the most accurate 22 handgun I have, and that's up against a Buckmark UDX Plus, Smith K-22, and AMT Lightning (same as a Ruger Mk II plus target trigger).

Thank you all for the kind words. I would not have bought this one if I didn't already own a 75B SA, it is a dream to shoot. A funny story about my SA; my wife shot it and said she wanted it, hint, hint. Anyway, a couple weeks later I mistakenly walked into this same pawnshop thinking I was entering the post office (they are next door to each other), and I'll be darned if there wasn't a used 75B SA under glass for $465. That one became a birthday gift for my wife.

Thinking I may need to keep this new one hidden away for a while, her birthday gifts are getting to be costly :)
