Recoil spring changes after reduced hammer spring install?

So, my CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical cycles fine currently as OEM.

I'm going to do a 13# hammer spring and extended firing pin. Might do reduced trigger spring also and a reduced reset, but doing just hammer spring and firing pin first. Reason I'm doing this is because SA is hard for me to accurately hit that first shot, basically to long and to heavy. Reduced trigger weight should help, plus it's just cool.

Question is, will I need a reduced recoil spring? (Stock is 16#) I don't see the correlation between lighter trigger and recoil?

My gun is new with ~400 rds through it. Only 1 jam near the very beginning before I cleaned the grease off.

I'm getting all my info from YouTube and CGW.

You don't need to change your recoil spring. And there are very good reasons to not change it.

No you shouldnt need to change your recoil spring because you change your hammer spring.

Lowering your hammer spring with really help reduce the DA pull and so will the reduced trigger return spring.

If you want to reduce your SA pull weight the most effective way is to replace the hammer with one with shorter hooks like the CZC comp hammer or the CGW race hammer. The hammer spring has little effect on the SA

No correlation

There is a correlation between the two springs -- as the hammer spring AND the recoil spring both affect slide velocity after the round is fired.

But unless you go to a very light hammer spring (which might not ignite the primer), you probably won't notice a difference -- except a lighter trigger pull.

Agree you can change it or not, it won't matter.

The main thing you need to understand is that you are reducing the primer strike force, but the longer firing pin should help offset that somewhat. You may also need to trim a few coils off the firing pin spring.

Still, my Tanfos with 13lb hammer springs (very similar design to CZ) will light-strike hard primers occasionally. Many people that run 13lb hammer springs say they can light anything, but that has not been my experience in several guns.

And no two guns are ever completely identical either, so you need to test with your ammo after significant spring weight changes. Just because gun X will perform one way with a certain spring setup, doesn't mean gun Y will do exactly the same.
