Who are your favorite Youtube gun reviewers?

Hicock45, Iraqvet, FSB Russia (entertainment) and of course Chopinblok! (He doesn't review the guns per se, but always informative and entertaining!)

I watch most of the ones listed here. I like some more than others. Mrgunsandgear seems to have the best quality and goes into more detail in reviews. Hickock is just fun to watch, you can tell he really enjoys the sport. The only channel I watch that wasn't listed is TheFireArmsGuy. He is upbeat and I like his videos. Hickcock is probably my favorite though

I like Twang N Bang. He covers bows and firearms and his videos always have a short preview and no long winded obnoxious animations or annoying music. Plus he has a great dog and a great light attitude and friendly delivery. NFA Review channel is also a great reviewer with exceptional camera and audio work.

Hmm, not one mention of mixup98. He's not as voluminous at posting vids as some of the more popular youtuber, but he's short and to the point, both good and bad of whatever he reviews.

Got into watching Mrgunsandgear recently when searching for red dot scopes. A lot of good reviews but sometimes he mouth is ahead of his brain, stating something at is corrected with annotations on screen.

tnoutdoors9 was/is my go to guy for ammo and gun reviews. He gave you the facts and nothing but the facts, short and to the point without pulling punches. Too bad he had health issues and I wish him well.

I got kind of turned off by hickock45 lately. He is certainly entertaining if that's what you want but IMO way too long of vids with a lot of stuff I didn't need to know. I'll only watch if what he's reviewing is of interest to me. Good guy though and I'd definitely would like to hang out with him.

Last but not least, Jeff Quinn at Gunblast. Knows his stuff, keeps it short, and can turn a phrase that's ultra quotable.

Hickok45. He's genuinely enthusiastic, never talks down to the audience, and doesn't get all "tactical."
Even though I'm older than him, watching his show is like hanging out with my favorite uncle used to be. :)

For the old stuff, Ian at Forgotten Weapons is my favorite. Hickok45 used to be a favorite, but he's definitely stagnating. Military Arms Channel is pretty good as is Sooch.

Best entertainer now that FPSRussia imploded is Matt over at Demolition Ranch.

What did we do back in the days before there was an internet guru to do our thinking for us?

Read magazine reviews?

Ill watch some of them when they review something interesting. TiborasaurusRex for when I want to learn something.

I like InRange TV lately.....their forensic examinations of Old West gun fights (often on the actual spot it occurred) are great.

Another recent favorite is MachinegunMike. He is about my age, obviously wealthy or well connected but not snobbish about it. After watching his videos, I feel like he just shared his expensive toys with me, and was happy to do so.

The only one I watch faithfully is Forgotten Weapons. Occasionally Hickok45 will have one that is of interest. There are some how-to vids that are helpful when stuck on something, and that is great compared to the old days.

As a general rule, I've found most of the gun channels pretty boring or they engage in insanely stupid behavior in some cases.

Nutnfancy.

Say what you will about him, but find me a more thorough or honest review ANYWHERE about a particular gun.
he goes on forever though. if something can be said in a ten minute blurb he will drag it out to half an hour.

I find Sootch00 to be more substantive than most.
Nutnfancy is generally solid, but his infatuation with taking 40 minutes to impart 10 minutes of info, has gotten to be too much to swallow.
Hickock45 is admitedly a knowledgeable, cool guy, and an amazing shot, but he gets judged on these facts more than the actual quality of the reviews. His reviews are generally just rambling, superficial observations, like:
"well, it feels pretty nice in-hand, not too heavy....it's got this little dealie over here, seems to work ok......sights ain't too bad......comes with 3 magazines, that's a nice touch.......trigger could be a little lighter for my taste......overall it's a pretty nifty little gun". Most of what he says is stuff you can see by looking at a photo of it, or just reading the company's stat sheet. I respect his knowledge and experience, so I'll often check his reviews on something I'm considering, but it's mostly just to find out if he's found something seriously negative about it.

Lucky Gunner has really informative videos and I enjoy watching his videos. Production quality is high which is helpful because I get motion sick easy. Videos shot by hand tend to shake a lot. The Military Arms Channel is another good one. I just watched an entertaining video on the LH9 by Colion Noir and decided to subscribe to his channel as well. The video had a very 1940's private detective monologue to it that I liked.
