My Ithaca 37 is in 16 Gauge and has been my hunting gun for going on 40 years now. It's a pre-war so If I hold back the trigger and just work the slide I get 5 shots down range in very short order. Also very easy for a leftie to fire
Count me among Crawdad1 and Armored Farmer as a fan of the Winchester 42. This is the one I inherited from Grampa through a recently deceased uncle. It's the one I learned to shoot with as a kid; a 1938 production year.
