You decide...

Okay- for those perturbed by links without descriptions, it's to a product on Brownell's for a "CCW sash".
I've been playing Mr. Mom to my new son for the past 5 months (and moved to a new home), so I haven't even done anything gun related in that time and finally had some time to peruse 'Ol Brownell's.

I saw this product and wondered why it would ever be used. Maybe some ranges require it?

But what actually drew me to the page was that it had numerous 5 star reviews and I was curious what they said.

I'll let you read them for yourselves- it's worth the minute or two to read them.

That is quite possibly the most useless application for polyester I've ever laid eyes on. Surely this is a joke item with staged reviews.

I cannot possibly envision any scenario wherein one of these would be used ... if one is in the mall and takes out an active shooter, one will still be proned out, disarmed and cuffed by the LE officers responding ... Let's not forget the fact that the non-gun folks in the vicinity will have absolutely zero clue what "CCW" stands for, and the responding tac team guys won't care ...

Guys, although the reviews are somewhat funny (high-school style humorless humor), that CCW thingie is in the "Training & Simulation" category...

Quite possibly the worst idea ever associated with concealed carry. The reviews are comedic gold, though.

We discuss these things and the similar "CCW Badge" from time to time. Almost nobody believes they're anything but a disastrous idea. Destined to get you cited for impersonating some authority, at best. No range I've ever heard of requires anything like that. (Why would they?)

They are designed to do one thing, and they do it pretty well: Move $25 from your wallet into the bank account of the company selling them.

Thanks for posting this. I have no use for the product other than to remind me of my grammar school days when I was a patrol boy, but the reviews are the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

This is just as bad as open carry, it alerts the psycho that you should be the primary target and than the rest follows. Really can't believe that one of the reviews states that "you forget you are wearing until it get caught in the door knob". I really pray this are all staged review because I would hate for this idiots to actually be carrying.

To repeat myself - this item is listed under "Training & Simulation", not "CCW accessories", or "Shooting gear". This is a hint that maybe the intended purpose is slightly different than what all of you think... Just maybe.

Nothin' says "I love you" to responding cops like your hands on your head, with your fingers interlaced. Wearing the "I DA HO" banner will not help you...
