Hello all

I've got the itch to get a side by side coach gun with exposed hammers.

I've been looking at the Century model and am looking for opinions from anyone with recent experience/ownership of one. I'm just wanting one for fun and it won't be getting a lot of rounds put through it. (I'm a retired guy with fibromyalgia and I don't shoot much anymore)

Also looking at the Cimarron coach gun, but it is almost twice the price.

Thanks in advance. -lc

The best thing that can be said about that Chinese-made coach gun is that it's cheap. (Less than $300, last time I checked.) I personally wouldn't want one.

If you can find a used Russian Baikal (marketed as the Remington Spartan), they're better.

The best exposed-hammer coach guns are made in Turkey. They run about $900.

I’m sure people have them and love them. There is no way though I would buy a SxS with exposed hammers in that price range. I don’t see how the barrels can be regulated even close at that price.

I had one for several years until I traded it off. It was fine for the money. Only issue was the LH hammer screw liked to loosen on its own.
