Anybody here know how to decipher the serial number on a SIG P-365 to determine the date of manufacture?

Since I just purchased it after it arrived at the LGS this week I am assuming that it is Gen 2 with updates to alleviate earlier failure to return to battery problems.

One safe check from what I understand is that if it has the new X-Ray sights, then it is the Gen 2 build.

The box mine came in has a sticker with the "born on" date on it. Yours doesn't?

These two things. :)

The XRay3 sights are the best sights I've seen on a factory gun. They're not as good as the Trijicon HD or Ameriglo Pro sights with an orange ring, but they're really good. I was shooting my P365 as well as my P320, which has plain white three-dot contrast sights (for now). That's how much that big bright front sight helps, especially with Sig sights all regulated for frame/combat hold.
