Bushnell Engage 4-16x44. $360 on Midway right now, MOA based graduated reticle which would let a 22LR make it out to 200, plus resettable turrets if you’d prefer to stay centered in the FOV.

I put a Hawke 6-24X50 on mine and really like it so far. Got it on sale for $299, suggested retail was $499.

I would look at the Athlon talos and the Weaver 3x10 Natchez sales. The Weaver is a great but Japanese glass for $199

It’s funny about perceptions. I know nothing about ACME optics good or bad, never heard of them until I read the above post. But when I saw the name what immediately came to mind was - Wile E. Coyote - low quality.

I looked through one and for $300 the glass and features are solid,

They are manufactured in the same plants as other, higher end scopes,

Not sure how durable or long lasting they are, but first impression was positive

For $300, I just handled a Vortex Diamondback FFP 6-24x50 which would make a decent option - fantastic value FFP optic, with good enough glass to keep me happy on a low budget rifle. I won't be replacing my Bushnell LRHS on my NRL22 rifle with it any time soon, but I did order my own to put on my son's NRL22 production class rifle.

I've put an Athlon Argos FFP Mil-dot scope on mine. Happy so far after 4 range trips. An eleven year old was happy shooting small steel targets at 100 yards. The parallax/focus adjusts down to less than 25 yards too.

Also, LMBO..... Oh, the irony of Varminterror (with the Wile E. Coyote avatar) recommending a Bushnell, while someone *other than* Varminterror recommending an ACME brand! I guess the Coyote finally learned his lesson about the QC of ACME products, and no longer buys or recommends them.

Varminterror is a professional troll in the employ of the Military Industrial Complex. When he’s not out wreaking havoc among the unenlightened masses he is a part time draw bridge operator and also sells shrimp from a van on the side of the road.

I have no problem with any of his activities but take exception to one of his methods. He buys the shrimp he sells past it’s “sell by date”, then sprays it with bleach to make it look fresher. He unfortunately learned that trick from me and I feel bad about it. I was joking around one day about how the shrimp served at all you can eat buffets is treated in such a manner. He took the idea and ran with it.

Caveat, I’ve never owned one, but Clearidge is constantly mentioned on RFC. I have a nice VX-2 4-12 x 40 AO on a .22 that works well but is discontinued. Pride Fowler makes a calibrated .22lr FFP (both sv and hv with windage tics) that sells for $200 on Amazon (I own the original RR-800). Nikon offers a few .22 specific scopes, I own the P-22 2-7x which sells for $150 and would look right at home on your rig as well as a Pro Staff 3-9x I picked up for $70 (best deal I’d ever seen on that one). Both have ok glass.

Nearly all of my rimfire scopes suffer the same significant shortcoming; they don’t track well. Since my needs don’t generally necessitate constant fiddling its not been too big a personal issue.

The Bushnells I’ve peeked through recently have significantly improved glass and feel compared to my old 4x AO that finally bit the dust after 20+ years of squirrel hunting. Really depends on what you’d like to do with your rifle and what reticle you want/need.

I have a Clearidge and highly recommend it.

I don't know if they still make it but I've a Barska 4-14X side focus FPP mildot scope on my bull barrel 10/22 which I regularly use to lob subsonic rainbows at steel plates 200 yards away, ~ 5mil hold over, very bottom of the reticle marks. Its great fun. I don't think I've gone much closer than 25 yards with it but it has enough focus adjustment to get to ~10 yards.

I've tried 300 yards but over-hanging trees intercept the rainbows making hits impossible.
