P365

Mine is dated end of June; has worked flawlessly with everything I have fed it so far - factory and reloads, 115s and 124s; I love the 12 round mag; makes the grip just that much better.

Close to 2000 rounds through mine with 1 failure to go into battery. As a precaution I replaced the firing pin and trigger bar spring, but that was as a precaution. Mine never failed. It's my primary carry gun, and I love it.

Do you guys appendix carry or 4/8 o’clock carry?

Do you use the Sig holster or something else? I use currently the Crossbreed holsters for my Kimber and G26...I’d like some new ideas...

Thanks,
Greg

I pocket carry using a Sticky Holster. I'm recovering from back and neck problems and carrying IWB at 3:00, which is what I've done in the past, is not comfortable. I use the 12 round magazine without printing issues (that I'm aware of).

I just read an AIM email advertising them for $549, FWIW. (Some people have said they're still having trouble finding them in stock.)

I dont go there often and was only making the one purchase. The yearly fee offset the savings.

I have smaller mom and pop style stores I get my shooting stuff from, and the local fleet store for my other outdoor needs.

I just picked a p365 up at Cabela's. They price matched Gander Mountain's $499. Toss in a $20 off coupon and my Cabela bucks, the otd price $409. The p365 will replace my Ruger LC9s as my cold weather edc. The Ruger is currently at the factory getting its front sight pinned after it almost drifted out at the range. Once it get the p365 to the range I will report back if there is an issue.

Greg, Lots of stores have the P365 in stock and my local LGS had something over 20 at $499 about a week ago.
As for holsters, I was always a 3:30 back of hip carrier until I realized the benefits of appendix carry. Not time to argue here about my choice but after a couple of different holsters a few months I found Vedder LightTuck with claw and I never looked back. Extremely high quality Kydex, very adjustable, and a clip that will not add bulk or come off your belt.
After a week of carrying this way I also discovered it is possible to wear just a dress shirt and tuck, rendering the gun pretty much invisible, a fraction slower to get in the hand, but it keeps Mrs. 340PD happier because I look "neater and more put together" in her eyes.
For reference, I am slim, 6'3" and 200#.
BTW, that claw does help.

I've got one made in October with about 1000 rounds through it that has had only one malfunction during the first trip to the range. The case rim (Winchester White Box) crunched on the ramp and would not fit in the chamber. Aside from that, the front night sight is dim and will need to be replaced, and I cracked a base plate on the flat base magazine after only about 25 trips to the concrete. The gun shoots well. I like it a lot.

As far as holsters go, if you own a Glock 42 or 43, existing holsters may work with it.

Mine, received in late September, has been perfectly reliable with handloads, S&B FMJ and handloads. It seems impossibly small for possessing a capacity of 10+1 rounds and fits the hand perfectly.

I got one for the wife since it's only available in a lady's round currently, and it replaced her P238 .380 that even she wasn't comfortable with. It has a July build date I think, and has been flawless. I had some issues with the slide not locking back on an empty mag, but I chalked that up to my thumbs riding the slide catch. She had no failures of any kind.

The slide not locking back is a common issue and the solution is altering one's grip. The solution is here.
I shoot my P365 one handed and have no issues but the minute I change to a two handed grip, I need to count because the slide never locks back which really does not bother me as I believe If I am in a gunfight and need more than ten rounds, I should have brought a friend.

I've had a P365 since late May, just shy of 1000 rounds through it. Only issue is about 5 times the slide has failed to lock back on an empty mag. I may be riding the slide release, don't consider it much of a problem. I carry almost exclusively with the 12 round mags and recently switched to a Black Arch IWB, absolutely love that holster, comfort of a hybrid with the retention of a properly fitted full kydex rig. One of these days I'll purchase a new, updated one and retire this one to range only duty but for now I don't hesitate to trust my life to it.

Mine has been perfect - zero malfunctions - with about 600 rounds of NATO ball and HST 124 and 147 +P’s sent downrange. It was built December 8th and as far as I’m concerned it’s good to go as my BUG, or primary when deep concealment is a concern.

I have rather enormous hands, so much so that paradoxically (and thankfully) it’s almost impossible for me to inadvertently contact the slide release while firing (unlike my X-fives, for instance). I just need to be careful to keep my support side thumb clear of the muzzle, if that tells you anything.

Incredibly accurate and easy to shoot in spite of my hand size. It points so naturally that in dry fire practice I sometimes find myself presenting and pressing, then looking at the sights only to find them dead center of mass every time.

It’s fast on target and in hammers. My El Prez times are comparable to my full size pistols. Good trigger, too. Feels lighter than the measured 5.1 #s.

Glad I waited and avoided the drama.

Only issue is about 5 times the slide has failed to lock back on an empty mag.

You could be riding the slide but I have heard this problem can traced to magazine issues. Try switching mags to isolate that potential cause.
