New to AR's and their toy's. Want to get a reliable quick release scope mount so I can quickly switch to red dot's and peep sights.
Forgot to mention it will be used on a Trijicon Accupower 1X4

If LaRue's are too pricey, I've never had a problem with Warne's Quick Detach 1"rings...have them on two rifles and they return consistently to zero at half the price. That's not to say that LaRue's aren't more robust, however.

For AR15s I've got Larue and ADM Recon mounts.

Both work very well and hold zero (easily under .5MOA), but I prefer the ADM Recon mounts. Based on the lockup, my Larue's have marked up my rails some. Not a real issue, but a consideration.

I bought an American Defense brand QD mount for a 1x Vortex optic. It is very solid and holds zero. You may want to give them a look.

I'm a big fan of Larue mounts in general.
Here is on of my AR's sporting an ACOG with a Larue mount:

LT mounts are kind of pricey, but it is a case of "you get what you pay for". With that in mind, I would definitely stay away from ARMS mounts- I have seen way too many of them fail.

What caliber did you use to take the deer? I'm asking because .223 is illegal in my neck of the woods.
As a result I've ordered a 6.8 SPC upper for my AR.

I used 223 which is legal in both Fl and NC. I have killed several with the Hornady 75 gr BTHP match.

I've used Larue & GG&G. Both have worked fine for me.
The only GGG optic mount I have experience with is the type for the older type EO tech. I found GGG makes a better EO tech QD mount, but Larue does better on most everything else. At least that was our experience.
