Can a quick release mount hold a zero after being taken off?

That's the very reason I subscribe to the Leupold system.............Kinda difficult to screw up a round post in a round hole. I've a railed AR fitted with a cheap Wally World air rifle scope that using your method goes back to a near perfect zero every time I remove it.
