Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Let's see. HS Precision stock, second hand VX3 scope, DNZ mount, and replacement firing pin assembly from Gre-Tan.

Headed south to the big metropolis of Virginia, MN. and purchased 5 sleeves of each (all CCI) 500 Spp; 350 LPP magnum & 300 LPP.
Spent more than Texas10mm though as it came to 68 dollars and change.

My local gun pusher is about a 40 mile drive one way these days. When Saturday rolls around it is almost a certainty that I’ll make the trip to Uncle Lee’s in Greenville Ky. Last weekend was business as usual. I was sniffing around the used rack and found a rifle that interested me. Now let’s not be judgmental about my choice in what interests me! I tend to like the budget line of bolt action rifles that all the manufacturers are putting out. I think it’s fun to take a inexpensive rifle and see just how good you can make it shoot. Anyway this week they had a Remington 783 Heavy 16.5” barrel in .223. I was really impressed with the quality and feel of this $309 rifle and scope combo. The previous owner didn’t put a $29 scope on it either. It had a Nikko Sterling compact 3-9X on it that was pretty nice. Not the best but certainly not a crappy Simmons scope! Well, here’s the dumb part of the story. I walked away from it. By the time I got home I was kicking my own butt for not bringing it home. So after work on Monday I made the call to see if they still had it and sure enough they did. It’s waiting for me to come get it this Saturday.

Modern small Red dot sights - like a Holosun and Shield RMSc. Being out of the game for several years, while simultaneously getting older and losing eyesight, I was pleasantly surprised I had an outlet for my affliction. It seems like the smart 50yr old people have developed technological crutches for fellow people like me. God bless them lol.

Vedder light tuck IWB holster for my Shield. It looks promising and I'm hoping it doesn't end up in a drawer collecting dust. If it does, it'll have plenty of company.

I have not received it yet but I just made a deal for another H&G mold. This one is a #501, a 260 grain Keith type SWC for 45 Colt. I've been looking for this one and one other mold for a few years.

The mold arrived yesterday. It looks even better in hand than the pictures showed. Can't wait to heat it up and drop a few boolets!

Five 250 ct. boxes of Nosler Handgun bullets from Cabela's. Two boxes of .44 mag 240 gr. and 3 boxes of .357 mag 158 gr. I know, I know. Everybody hates Cabela's but they were on sale for 20% off. Also picked up a couple cleaning jags and a can of Lucas Oil CLP. I've been trying out the Lucas Contact Cleaner, CLP, and Extreme Duty Gun Oil and I really like them.

My first AK-47 retainer plates, as a substitute for shepherd's hooks used on the hammer and trigger pins.

It was strange that my Hungarian AMD-65 does Not have any trigger slap, and very smooth. Really odd that the importer company left such a nice trigger inside the gun, or used a superb substitute to comply with the bureaucratic "Importer Regulations". By the way, No private/end user AK owner has ever been prosecuted for swapping parts.....extremely common practice..

This Saturday's impulse buy was a Gun Plumber multi-tool. Seems like I always have every tool but the right one when I am at the range and need to adjust something. For $8, I can add this to the range bag and maybe save the day.

Good Heavens have I! I'm in the process of replacing a bunch of reloading gear that was damaged in a garage fire. I think one of the bills was for just over $500 and another was over $450. Midway, Graf's and several others have been quite happy to see my orders show up. Not to mention what I've picked up on various forums that folks are getting rid of. In the last two weeks I've spent easily $2000 on reloading/hunting/gun gear to replace that damaged/destroyed in the fire.

Sorry to hear about the fire. Glad you have the resources to recover. Have fun with the new stuff.

I managed to talk my friend out of his Ruger 22/45 Lite MKIII this afternoon. I’m not a big fan of the MKIII’s loaded chamber indicator so I set out to find the best deal on LCI delete kit. I found out that there at least two company’s that make the delete kit. TandemKross $19 and Volquartsen. I found a post on Rimfire Central that stated Volquartsen had them on clearance for $5. I ordered two just in case I get another MKIII down the road.

A single shot Kentucky style BP pistol in .44 by Bondini. Not shot it yet as waiting until I'm fully recovered from a cycling accident (broken wrist and kneecap).
