Experience with 308 in a precision chassis rifle that is marked Performance Center and seems to be a Cooperative effort by Smith & Wesson and Thompson Center? I saw one for about 1,100 and a good local gun store today with a nice fluted 24 inch barrel and muzzle brake and a target shooting type but stuck attached. It weighs about 10 lbs.

They also had heavy barreled free floated Remington 700 in these rubberized type stocks that were bolt action hunting rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor for about $700. about 7 lb. I'm looking for a rifle in 308 or possibly 6.5 Creedmoor that will be more accurate then my 308 Tikka light hunting rifle 4 long range deer elk type hunting for 300 to 600 yards and for practice target shooting how to a thousand yards.
Know about these versions and what would you recommend?
I'm considering the Ruger rpr 308 or 6.5 Creedmoor or the Bergara b14 HMR in either caliber, also the Ruger light target rifle in either caliber. And the two I mentioned above.

Your thoughts and experience?
