I have several hundred reloads for my 1911's, that fail the plunk test in my Glock 21. Never had a problem with the 1911s. I mostly used factory in the Glock. Now, I would like to use my reloads

The info is:
Winchester brass, Winchester large primers, 5.2 grains of HP-38, and 230 grain FMJs from Precision Delta. The OAL is 1.262.

Any suggestions for changing the OAL? Can I just re-seat and re-crimp the rounds, so they will plunk in the G21 barrel?

Assuming the bullet is the problem, I would seat it a little deeper and re-crimp.

If the brass is the problem, seating the bullet deeper isn't going to fix anything.

I finally found a OAL that does pass the plunk test. 1.147 is the max. My target OAL will be 1.45. Crimp is still .471.

I'm at my most dangerous, at a keyboard! My target for OAL is 1.245! Thanks fellas for catching that.
I'm going to re-seat the bullets and re-crimp them. If no typing is involved, I might can get that right? :cuss:
