What Gun Does This Ammo Go With?

Are self contained Artillery shells that size bottlenecked and rimless? The ones I have seen were rimmed and straight.

I am not an expert but what Jeff showed seems to be bottled and rimless, so I guess they go either way.

I had looked at a lot of pictures online of larger munitions but could not find any dimensional specs on anything.

I know there are at least two different 30mm cannon shells. The ones used on the Apache and A-10 are very different.

Any as long as the wooden round created by the OP?

They are larger.

Warthog GAU-8
30x173
Overall Length 290mm

6.81" Case
11.42" Overall Length
1.53 lb Weight

Apache M230
30x113
4.45"
7.875"

The case for a 30x113 feels like a conventional rifle case. The 30x173 feels like it was machined out of billet.

There is no need for any big gun to be rimless, but there are many, many bottle-necked cases.

There is also the very similar 37mm that went with the automatic cannon, M1, that was semi-rimmed.

Probably out of order here. It is obviously a wooden 'replica' of a rather large loaded cartridge. It may or may not correspond to anything in the real world. Sort of like an 'artists conception' of a real item.

I’d call it a 1080 Finwick.

If you wanted to sell it, the 2700 super magnum velsorataptor sniper super subsonic, might be a better choice.
