Sorry to plagiarize the thread title from you, Sleeping Dog, but this is actually pretty funny/sad. Yesterday, I was out and about in Newport Kentucky, which is across the river from Cincinnati, Oh. Started to enter a clothing/thrift store (Village Discount in Newport Shopping Center) when I saw a sign on the front door which more or less read: "Pursuant to Ohio (italics mine) Revised Code 2923, it is unlawful to enter these premises with a concealed firearm." Yep, a NO CCW! sign that's a good mile and a half out of its jurisdiction, one might say. This business is not part of some multi-state chain, nor did the sign appear from its placement to be the work of a prankster. The store apparently thought this tactic would somehow keep somebody, perhaps only a person with VERY limited reading/comprehension abilities, from entering with a firearm. I did go in and ask to talk to a manager about this, but apparently he/she "wasn't in." As in "wasn't in their right mind", perhaps?
