Yep, that's a real thing.

If you have a blade with a rubber molded grip that's too slick... the first thing I'd try on it is a bit of lacquer thinner on a rag. Use the stuff sparingly since the lacquer thinner will actually remove a bit of rubber - ending it's slick surface. You'll see the material picked up on your rag. I build fishing rods - mostly with EVA or some other kind of synthetic grip and I use lacquer thinner as described to clean off excess glue and for older handles that same lacguer thinner on a rag will remove old sunscreen and other surface goo with just a brisk rubbing action.

One other caution about lacquer thinner is that it will attack some paints, decals, etc. so you have to be a bit careful in using it...

Hope this helps.

I had a pair of rubber molded grips that were slick. After cleaning and a light sanding I applied a very thin coat of super glue. Worked for me, YMMV.

Victorinox is a distributor (at least in EU) for Muela knives, so I guess it's entirely possible that they make the Outdoor Master. BTW, Muela has made some Puma branded knives, at least couple of years back, but they were clearly stamped as to be "Made in Spain". But, IF Muela makes those knives for Victorinox, the asking price is way too high - south of $100 is where such knives, with that steel, handle and sheaths are.

It looks nice. But it's not a competitive knife. Even if you restrict competition to Scandi-grind bushcraft knives only, you can get an L.T. Wright in A2 for $160, a Bark River in 3V or CPM154 for about $225, an Enzo in D2 or O1 for $150, a TOPS in 154CM for $150 and 1095 for $100, or an ESEE in 1095 for $150. Not to mention any number of Helle and Mora knives.

You may be correct about Muela. Here is my only Muela, I think that I paid < $50 for it about 5 years ago. IMG_20190924_121700.jpg

MSRP is way too high considering the blade steel. Might as well be 420HC for $200. I just searched, SMKW wants $199, for something at that price level, Victorinox is going to have to have better steel to get me interested.

This was around $25.00 delievered. Mora laminated plain carbon steel, the core is 1095 I think. For $30.00 to 40.00 Mora makes some real nice knives with 12C27.

Considering the Bark River is street at $200 and the LT is $160 while this Vic is going to be street for $120, the Vic is going to have to be a target market for Vic fans. Of course there are plenty out there.
