I finally got around to buying this mold and cast up 30 pounds of keepers. Still have to powder coat and size them, but does anyone have favorite loads for this bullet in 38 special?

For some 125 gr soft shooters that are pretty universal for revolvers and rifles with plated or coated bullets I’ll use:

4.2 gr Bullseye
5.5 gr Unique.

In my guns they’ve been accurate and fun.

Alliants’ Max is 4.8 Bullseye and 6.0 Unique, so these give plenty of room to go up roughly .5 grain each if you want.

Stay safe.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook indicates 3.0 to 4.2 for Bullseye, more for +p, so I tried 4.0 and am sticking to it. Even small guns get along well with it.

Sounds good. I would be shooting these out of 357 rifle and revolver, so lots of margin of safety on pressure.

My Rossi 92 with a 16 in barrel likes 125 gr xtreem rnfp plated with 3.4 gr of 700 X or 3.6 gr Titegroup
