Hello forum!

Does anyone have a favorite 9 mm load using this bullet and Unique? If not for the ACME version, how about another manufacturers 124 gr. or 125 gr. coated lead cast bullet?

I know I'm old school using Unique. I have a good stock of it and I like it in my .38 Special, .44 Special and .45 ACP.

Thank you!

Sunray - thank you! I have not been able to find much load data for this combination. I currently load 124 gr. JHP's with 5.1 grains of Unique. The range of data I have found over the years for this powder and JHP combination is in the 4.7 gr. to 5.4 gr. range. I hope to find addition forum members lead loads to compare to.

My old Alliant Reloading Guides shows 125 gr Lead at 1.165 OAL and 6.0 gr of Unique max up until 2001 then they changed it to 125 gr lead at 1.165 and 5.5 gr of Unique max. Then somewhere around 2005 they took it out of their reloading guides

Lyman 50 lists 4.0 -5.0 Unique with a 120 lead RN, slightly lighter bullet with lube groves, non coated.
Will need to see if I can find my old notes but as I recall 4.4gr worked well with a MBC 125gr cone shaped lead bullet at 1.10 OAL. Nice medium load.
