Hi all,

I am looking for the lanyard rings , round ones that fit the bottom of a revolver , not hogue or clip in (webley) types but threaded, Bowen do them but at 50 dollars a time it's criminal for a one inch steel ring and a 5-10 dollar sling stud, especially as i'm in the UK so would have to pay import duty and tax on the total price including shipping so that 50 dollars would be plus 20 for postage 14 for tax, 11 for import if applicable , plus 15 to be cleared through customs by the postal services and i can't find any in the UK that are round as opposed to rectangular

US fleabay has a number for sale - some marked Webley, others Browning, some generic or unknown, ranging from $10 - $40. Worth checking.

Welcome to THR.
From the sounds of your tax and duty situation it may be cheaper to find a local machinist to make you a new piece.
Take him several pictures with something showing the part and another object to judge the size required.

Do they have to be threaded?

Numrich/Gun Parts had Webley original and repro lanyard loops for real reasonable. They just use a clean (as opposed to threaded) hole, and a cross pin to hold them.

I put one in an old Enfield revolver I picked up that had the loop removed. I just used a piece of drill stock that fit the hole for the "pin".

that's way better price wise, Thanks guys , looking at one i might just get a threaded swivel mount and get a fabricator to put a steel ring in it too, could get him to copy the webley one and i will have uses for more than just two 8)

As AK103 mentioned, the correct installation using a smooth shaft and a retaining pin. Is there a reason you need it threaded?

Kevin

Yes, it's going through the bottom of my colt clone backstrap :) hole already drilled in one by previous owner, and working the other revolver to match it.
