Fortunately, Glocks are drop safe....
we MIGHT see MAC 50 surplus units sometime in the next few years
Great choice of pistol. What a shame we didn't do the same as the 17 is by far the greatest 9mm pistol ever designed in the history of the world. I have no doubt we only picked the SIG because they learned from how Beretta rigged the contracts last time, and they did it themselves this time. Glock will probably learn and rig it the third time and we'll finally get a good pistol in 50 years, assuming we're still using pistols in that time.
Thank you!... The mockery is disrespectful, juvenile, and not THR.

The French Army was the best or one of the the best armies in Europe for many hundreds of years. IMHO it's harsh to mock those many thousands of brave soldiers just because their leadership during WWII were idiots. My grandfather told me about several inspirational incidents involving The Resistance during the war. Many of them died bravely and horribly in defense of their country. His story about finding a group of teenaged boys and girls hung in a clearing was heartbreaking.

i am too young to remember when beretta got the contract. But how did sig and beretta rig it to win? I understand the sig was lower price and a true modulator design.
When beretta won, i read the sig p226 was the best on the trials and had a price per pistol lower then beretta. But the total package with parts ran higher with the sig. i had no idea glock competed in that battle either.
Beretta outbid them by $1 precisely. I doubt they just guessed well. When beretta won, i read the sig p226 was the best on the trials and had a price per pistol lower then beretta. But the total package with parts ran higher with the sig. i had no idea glock competed in that battle either.
