Brietbart is showing video of ALL the other news agencies videoing the three people carrying "no white supremacy" signs. Just a few counter protesters with the wrong message (because there is nothing racist going on, and they're probably paid) and the liberal news is all over it!:scrutiny:

This is supposed to be a serious event. Playing dress-up is showing the world that you are not serious.
I disagree.

I like that they have everything from full Fudds to tactical timmies.

who cares if people play "dress-up".

They are there and they support our cause. Those playing dress-up are doing more, right now, than us who can't be there.

Um, on one live feed, I can see that the police have just confiscated someone's, um, guillotine... Yeah, a full size guillotine. And they have now disassembled it. Don't think it was actually a functional version.

It makes me scared. Only nice men with above the ear haircuts, clean shaven, Polo shirts, starched creased khakis, dress shoes are acceptable. And no cigarette smokers that gives us a bad image. I know it's Virginia but no chew either! Also please polish your vehicle and your shoes before attendance, cross every t and dot every I and no speeding to the event area. Please smile and look pleasant. No ball caps! No chewing gum and no high fat or excessively carnivorous lunches. Consider using foundation and other cosmetics to appear more photogenic. Obey or you not serious gun owner!!!

From what I have seen, it appears the pro 2a lobby comported themselves well. While I might not have shown up with a .50 Cal rifle, I also didn't show up. So good for those that went. My sincerest thank you to all that went. Whether it made any difference to the law makers, I believe the general population sees what kind of hype machine the MSM is. Again, thank you.

I'm glad all went well, really am. However while there isn't a dress code there is public image, some may have different ideas about that, in my mind sending image that smashes the anti's propaganda is the most beneficial.

So let me ask, you are on a jury, honestly what is going to go through your mind looking at a defendant that, A - has a coat and tie or otherwise dressed for success look, or B- is dressed in a tank top with pants hanging down past his underwear with tattoos covering his face? Right off the bat no matter how of a nice guy or innocent he really is you have made a instant biased judgement in your mind more than likely.

Let say something about myself, I am NOT a clean cut kind by nature I have hair down to my chest and would be happy if all I had to wear was a t-shirt and jeans all the time. But I know impressions matter, I remember once the old lady at a gas station in her car look at me with wide eyes and lock her door as I was walking by. There are times depending it's time to tie my hair back, put on some more fancy clothes if going to certain places and events because after a person talks to me they may get a real impression but their eyes will judge first, it's human nature.

Where is the bold coming from?

I watched a live feed and have been reviewing pics.

No one looked like that.

the big concern appears to be the tactical gear. But none of those dudes had saggy pants. infact, without the plate carrier you'd probably say they looked perfect.

I understand where you’re coming from and I agree somewhat but the liberal media doesn’t want to be fair. If everyone was clean cut at the rally, they would have zoomed in on the one guy that had a migraine and bloodshot eyes, rubbing his face because he feels like hell. Then he would be described as angry or unstable.

The image you are describing can only be consistently achieved in a commercial. I’m not disagreeing with you completely, just saying it cannot be done organically. We’d have to script it like the liberals do!:D

I'm not talking about the rally in my question as relating to looking like a gang member, I am talking about how humans judge with their eyes first. I have a different view compared to some of you on how to best present a image to the public for us gun owners especially semi-auto owners which I am talking about presenting us to the moderates and independent voters which we DO need to win elections and secure pro 2nd politicians and judges.

Look I get it, dressing up in combat gear to present yourself as a citizen soldier , I know said people have their intentions in the right place, but many average Americans will not see it that way judging with their eyes.

Except for the fact that the mainstream media doesn't control ALL the media now. If it was 1992 then yes it was the mainstream media that's it, they had full carte blanche to present only their biased side to support the Clinton AWB, I remember during the Clinton ban happening the media showed full auto guns going off in their reports heck one channel showed a M60 at a range I remember the Clinton era pretty well.

The internet has changed that, social media has changed that, and A LOT of people look at that not just the nightly cable news.

Is it better for the public to have their eyes opened to the fact that clean, educated, well-dressed people own firearms, or that rough around the edges, visually agressive gun owners comport themselves in a restrained and polite manner? Maybe it is good to see both?
except the anti gun left constant portrait of 2nd amendment activists is that they are scruffy, backwoods, rednecks , extremist militia, racist, homophobic, uneducated, gun clingers hoping for their chance to go down in history as a new famous patriot in a new civil war,.

There isn't anything wrong with being scruffy, backwoods or a redneck some people that are are among the finest decent people, I know, but I am all for deflating the propaganda the anti's perpetuate toward us.Because wars and battles are won with image, public relations and propaganda as much as being in the trench.

I guess the 2A movement needs to consult Vogue magazine for our fashion directives. I think frilly chartreuse plate carriers are a great idea honestly. Satin mag pouches. Much softer image. Tender heartfelt assault rifle gentle Ben's fighting valiantly in the trenches for our rights.
