Long slide for a G19 Gen5

Well, the Gen 5 G17 uses the same locking block as the Gen 4 and Gen 5 G19, So, I would think you could run a Gen 5 G17 bbl in a Gen 5 G19, rather than having to use an extended length G19 bbl to run a longer slide on a G19, as you had to do on previous generations. Since the Gen 4 and Gen 5 use the same diameter recoil spring assemblies (with slight differences on the length of the larger coil section), I would also think you use a Lone Wolf Gen 4 slide adapter in a Gen 5 slide. So, you might just be able to put a factory Gen 5 G17 slide on your Gen 5 G19 frame, with the little LWD adapter to cover the recoil spring gap. I could also be completely wrong. I think you should buy all the parts and let us know. :D

I have a gun similar to what you described that I call a 19L. It WAS a gen 3 Glock 17. The frame has been shortened with a hacksaw to the dimensions where it will use Glock 19 mags. Also, the finger grooves have been removed, and the grip area re-textured with some amazing work with a wood burning pen.

You could try picking up a G17 Gen 4 slide to put on a G19 Gen 5 frame

Dont believe they changed the dust cover length with G5.. That method leaves a gap between the slide and end of dust cover.. @FL-NC method is about the only way to do it. Perhaps do it with a Poly-80 17 frame so you dont destroy the stock frame?

The LWD adapter was shared earlier, didn't need to link it again. AFAIK the gen 4 and gen 5 are very close in tolerances. The Gen 3s however have a lot more after market support like the Poly 80s so they are easier to build a custom Glock with.
