I recently had a tang sight put on my rifle. Sighted it for 25yds. had to adjust the windage almost all the way to the right, before I was finished. I would like the sight adjusted so it is pretty much centered. Do you suppose if I would move the front sight over to the left, then I could be able to move the tang sight more toward the center. Thank you for your in put

Moving the front sight to the left will allow you to get the rear sight closer to the middle. But, I'm now thinking why? If the front sight was centered to begin with and the correct rear tang sight added why would your adjustment be so far to the right? Maybe someone smarter than me will chime in on this.

Could be the holes for the tang sight are off center or the tang itself is off center. I’ve seen both. Had a Winchester 94 and the tang was visibly canted to the left. But yes easiest fix would be adjust your front, may look odd but will get the job done.

Tang sight is canted off-vertical to the left (no big deal and quite common w/ initial installations)
Loosen the base and slip a thin strip of aluminum soda can (cuts like paper using plain scissors) material under the left side to bring it back to vertical.
Re-tighten base on it and re-zero. (May/may not require add'l shim)

Again... no big deal.

Exactly. It may take more than one or even two. Shim, shoot, see what happens. One of mine took brass shim stock that was three time the thickness of coke can. It cuts easily with stout scissors also.
