I made my birthday order Monday afternoon and received weds evening, I can't ask for anything better than that, I would have liked more items in stock but they say everything should be in June 5. I guess service like this is one of the reasons I check them first when I'm looking for something.

Their shipping has actually improved in the last couple of months. The last three orders got to me very quickly. Plus Midway did NOT use FEDEX Sure Post. It was FEDEX Sure Post that always caused slowwwwwwwwww delivery for me. My last order was some SPP primers and a couple of magazines that I got in 2-3 days. They forgot 1 magazine. As soon as I open the box, I contacted them and 24 hours later, my missing magazine was at my front door.

I picked up 2 boxes of Norma 7mm-08 loaded with their 156 grain Oryx bullet when I suddenly got an "in stock" notification, plus a free shipping for orders over $49 code. Shipping was noticeabley prompt! Ordered 5/10, shipped 5/11, suddenly stock status became "Discontinued" so my order timing with the free shipping code was spot on. That order was shipped UPS Ground and delivered 5/13.

I always get fast shipping with Midway, except when they use FedEx Sure Post.
The best deal I ever got with Midway free shipping was a couple of months ago I received a email for the grade 3 50 cal ammo cans half price-$5 each. They had $49 free shipping so I put 10 cans in the cart, thinking they would not honor it on sale items, but it went through. 10 cans for $50 plus tax was a great deal, plus all 10 where in good shape.

my experience has been the opposite actually the past 2 months/2 orders- much much longer lead times to actually ship (prior was usually day after and now it is more like 7-8 days later), and then what used to be 1 day shipping for UPS Ground, now is more like 5 days. But I plan accordingly for those things I need...not complaining as I know it's more of an issue to get things shipped with fewer staff. Besides, it's not their fault I decided I needed a new barrel action wrench during this time. This is all tools or one off items...No Hazmat stuff.

FEDEX Sure Post is slow and bass akwards at times, but so is USPS. I live about 55-60 east of MidwayUSA and it would take at least a week to get my stuff. FEDEX would send it from Columbia, Mo to Kansas City, Mo. Then they would transfer my packages to the USPS in KC. The USPS would then send packages to St Louis then back west to me. Like I said in my first post, I am glad that MidwayUSA is NOT using FEDEX Sure Post at this time. I've never had a problem with UPS, they always get things to me in a timely matter.

Thank you for a positive post about Midway. As usual a few malcontents will voice their horrible experience. Midway has been around for ever. Larry Potterfield has do so much for the gun industry and NRA. The whiners how no idea what it is like to have such a massive inventory , staff, company and get the products out to the customer. They should try working in a well organized place like Midway. There used to be a video out there on inside Midway.

Thanks for you Business
Thats the way it is.:):)

Midway's always been good to me. Several days ago I saw they had diawa aird rods on sale. Been wanting a 5'6" ul rod for the kayak, so I ordered a rod and some 4# test.

3 days later it was sitting at the house. Took it out today and worked the perch and bluegill over with until a huge catfish worked me over. Some days I get the bear, so days it gets me.

I try to buy local 1st & when I can't I'm glad there's business's like midway out there.

All companies are taking longer to ship lately due to beaucoup orders. I made an order from Graf's on the 16th. They informed me that they were 10 days behind shipping orders so it won't even go out until the 26th.

yes, that is why I mentioned the other part of the post too..that I understood why and wasn't complaining about it. Merely posting that not everyone was getting next day shipping. I'm happily waiting on a 3rd shipment right now from them. It will come...I don't doubt it.

I'm not sure that delays right now are as much the shippee as the shipper. USPS will deliver from Midway to me as fast as a day but sometimes it takes several. UPS is less reliable...I once had a package go from Midway to Kansas City, to Wichita, back to Kansas City, then finally out to me. Took about 10 days and none of it was likely Midway's fault.

Kicked an order in Sunday afternoon. I checked 4 of the usual suspects and only Midway had all the items in stock. Got it Tuesday noon by UPS.
I'm about 150 miles south of Columbia.
