Bought a new Browning X-bolt and boy I am loving it, had to buy it because I have this really nice
4.5 X 14 scope just sitting around as I sold the AR-15 it was originally purchased for.
Noe I've got a real rifle with a wood stock and a bolt to use with it.;)
So far I have only shot factory ammo out of it but I've also bought dies, H-4350 and Super performance powder so I'm ready to start handloading.
Would appreciate some recipes from folks who are knowledgeable about the 6.5 Creed or as one fellow put it "The 6.5 yuppie"

If you are looking for a good hunting load try the Hornady 143 ELD-X with the H4350 starting loads at 36 gr and work up to 41.8
Target shooting it is hard to beat the Hornady 140 ELD-M over the H4350 @ 36-42 grains

If you search the internet you will find "pet" loads ranging from 40.7 to 43.4 gr. A lot of people find 41.5 to 41.8 to work well.
.020 off the lands seems to be a sweet spot which is where I would start.

Your barrel will tell you where to go but if you are close to these numbers you will know that you are in good company. I would not recommend going past 42 gr unless you are very sure what you are doing if you are at 43 your barrel is crap or you don't know what you are doing.

Work up your load based on your barrel, it is fun and you have a good reason to shoot more.

When I was loading for it, I used the Sierra MatchKing 142grn over IMR4451. When I went powder shopping, the 4350's were nowhere to be found, IMR4451 is the Enduron substitute for it, although the general consensus is it won't match the velocity of the 4350's, if that's important.

I haven't played with the heavy bullets much. Only took 2 with the 143gr ELD-X, but it worked. The 120-130 gr bullets have been pretty lethal on the whitetail population where I hunt. Powders used have been H4350, IMR 4350, R-17, and 760. The most accurate load that so far has been H4350 pushing a 129gr Nosler Accubond LR. 1/2 MOA at 500 yards.

I agree, this is a sweet combination, but Superformance was a bit disappointing unless it was paired with 140gr InterLock:

My most accurate results were this combo:
Like @Blue68f100 and @horsemen61 listed above- H4350 and 140 grain ELDM is a magical recipe.
