Hey guys,

I recently purchased my first revolver. It’s a Smith & Wesson model 69 4.25” 44 magnum. I absolutely love the gun, but don’t take it anywhere because I don’t have a holster.
I have no experience with leather holsters and I’m having a little trouble finding a suitable holster.

It seems that many holster companies don’t make holsters for my model revolver (at least on Amazon and similar places).

I am currently eyeing a holster from Azula ($60) and another from Tucker Gun Leather ($95).

Of course I’d prefer to spend $60 or less, but am willing to go to around $100 if needed.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this gun? Is my price range not realistic? Or will I end up spending $150+ regardless after I’m unhappy with my first purchase?

I would be carrying outside the waistband with the revolver.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not absolutely positive but I think that any holster made for an L frame Smith would work in the same barrel length. There a lot of quality leather holster makers out there. For less money kydex holsters are pretty comfy and rigid.

I ♥ my Simply Rugged "Sourdough Pancake" holster for my Model 69.:D
Mine is oxblood red, has some fancy stamping, and it has a removable hammer strap. It seems like I paid over a hundred for it, but I think the base price (without the "add-ons") was a little less. Besides, in my experience, you'll only have to buy your Model 69 holster once if you buy it from Simply Rugged - those folks get holsters right the first time.;)
